Gave me chills. I think there is hope for our future.
not proper behavior. looking like a bunch of hooligans
Health care reform NOW. I hope this happens this year! There IS hope for Americas future!
OMG, cant wait for 2012
RETURN OF THE GOP
Blah, Blah, Blah… same old song and dance…
he did a great job
without TORT reform….. nothing will be accomplished
lol gunna be so many haters talking shit about obama. funny thing is if it was bush or mccain they wouldnt do shit for america..
Whatevs - the USA is quibbling over taking care of its own citizens. They are so freaking individualistic the thought of paying into a pool from which other people can pull is anathema to the USA central beliefs. How many millions of people have NO MEDICAL CARE in the USA??? 30 million, or is it 50 million. It's all about money if you're rich of course you can afford the "best medical care in the world" but if you're poor, unemployed, underemployed or uninsured = tough luck!!
And that's they way they like it.
it was representative Joe Wilson from south carolina that called Obama a LIAR.
Wow. WOW.
How insanely disrespectful.
Re: RRaaZZ – u by far r the biggest dumb-ass ever 2 post here!!!!!!
OH I DIDN'T MISS IT….IT WAS FULL OF LIES. HOW IN THE NAME OF ECONOMICS ARE WE GOING TO SPEND MORE AND "SAVE" MORE????
EVEN A 5 YEAR OLD UNDERSTANDS IF YOU SPEND IT YOU DON'T HAVE IT TO SPEND AGAIN!
just add it to my bill..whats another couple trillion at this point? I'm looking forward to the day the federal income tax is over 50%…..I'm excited to work the first 6 months of every year to pay for government spending! wooo!! who else is excited?!?!?! I've got a better idea-lets just not work and let government take care of us..i
*
Look what the man was left with by the illegitimately ensconced neo-con RepubLimbaughers of Dubya and Cheney and their corporate fascist, robber baron pals who were given carte blanche for eight years under their ruinous time occupying the top two offices.
*
And the man's bent over backwards to work bipartisanly with the Party of Rush Limbaugh & Other Radio & TV Blowhards and they've come right out and said repeatedly that they don't even have to read the bills or proposals that they are being obstructionist, being the Party of NO!, on general principles and for no other reason than to placate the angry Aryan fringe-wing extremists of the RepubLimbaugh party.
*
I mean, the fringe-winger whackjobs and their tv and radio screechers have been openly bleating about assassinating President Obama, armed insurrection, seceding, and wanting the government and nation to fail in hopes they can exploit it all to get them re-instated into power. THESE PEOPLE, were the same ones who brought us the mess we're in now!
*
Fuck the RepubLimbaugh party! Fuck the fringe-wingers!
*
Mr. President, I gotchyer back, buddy.

Re: zombiekatie – REP. WILSON CALLED THE PRESIDENT A LIAD IN RESPONSE TO THE INSURING OF ILLEGAL LAIENS AND TO THE FACT THAT THE PRESIDENT IN A JOINT SESSION CALLED SARAH PALIN A LIAR. PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO YOUR DEAR LEADER!
He told so many lies in this speech it made me ill!!!! It's not going to cost more to insure millions of people, will not raise taxes, yeah ok! sell it to somebody who's buying, I don't fucking want the Govertment anywhere near his health care
The man claims that most of the cost of his (still undetailed) “plan” would be paid for by this recapture of dollars currently being lost to waste and fraud, so ask yourself this: when has any administration, any Congress, reduced the costs of any program by this (or any) technique?
And then ask yourself, why doesn’t Obama detail the hundreds of billions of dollars in fraud and waste that he has discovered and tell us what, specifically he is going to eliminate?
Finally, ask yourself why our mainstream media pretend that this man is serious?
Re: tick_tock_tick_tock – it figures you would like Obama, LMAO!!! you think Hagdonna is also a brilliant artist!!! not so good news with that "Celebration" single!!!! can you say flop!!! and that video is beyond embarassing!
Re: zombiekatie – It's not disrespectful to call a LIAR a LIAR, that's just being factual
Re: Moonmoth – Hey stupid, anyone without money or here illegally gets health insurance here free already..ever heard of an emergency room? that is all they do. All the Obama plan will do is help people who work and pay for insurance to pay more, most of which will end up paying lobbyists and Czars to do crap
Pathetic and read between the lines if you do actually choose your own doctor or have healthcare from your employer because he will make sure those days are over for you and everyone except himself and the losers in congress. There is a reason why Europeans, Canadians and So Americans come here for health care
Very great speech. I think it's the best speech I've watched on television.
Heathcare is a bubble ready to busts. We can afford not to do anything. A five year old can see that. So if Banks almost failed, insurance companys, auto companies, guess what's next, Healthcare. history is on the dem side. and i love how he shoved in the repugs faces that they were against medicare and medicaid. They wanted volchers and make social security private, and then the banks failed. I wonder how the elderly would've felt then? If the elderly think for one second the republicans give a crap about them, maybe they lilke death panels.
Zombiekatie=
it was not disrespectful, it was the truth……….
It was a good speech. I think he will be able to get the support he needs for this reform.
We can't accept Americans dying because they're too poor to afford basic health care.
yikes if this shit goes through it wont be good…way to go morons who wanted change…im sure the gop will be back in 2012
uh no thanks.
You know this is on the news alot up here in Canada and every time I hear about all the fuss Americans are making over the reform that Obama is planning makes me want to smash my head into a wall repeatedly. And whatever those US ads are saying about Canada is wrong. The reason why Canada has wait times that are long because we don't have enough doctors to help everyone. Because going to schools for training causes $$$ so when students take out loans and have to pay them back, they can't. And the government still doesn't offer assistance to helping grads pay off their loans thus doctors go elsewhere to make more money to pay them off. I have you know I enjoy going into a hospital and not coming out with a bill.
I wish the government would stay out of my health care. The less they mess with it, the better.
If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it's free…
Re: dariendarien – you are so right at all points, if you know where the fraud is , why are you not illiminating them now, fucking liar
He;s a titty baby. GOP - when will you come back? he has to pass his bill this year because in 2010 all teh dem's will loose their seats.
And this is celebrity gossip how? I really like how he came off as a c o m m u n i s t in basically saying that nobody better oppose this that he didn't want to talk to the ones who oppose it. You know what, people, be careful what you wish for ’cause you might just get it. Just like some of those Kool Aid drinkers are now regretting voting Obama in. When you get your gov't healthcare, I hope that you never need an MRI or colonoscopy or mamogram to try to detect cancer because you may be waiting a while and by then, it might be too late.
thanks for posting this perez
you americans dont know whats good for you. shut the fuck up and let this man fix your country! and you WILL save in the long run - if the new health care system is anything like australia's, you will get a refund for all doctors appointments etc. my father had bowel cancer a few years back and got the ENTIRE operation for free, including all check ups before and after. if we didnt have medicare we would have been financially fucked.
god i hate conservatives.
just more flim-flam from a 'motivational speaker'. "i won't increase the deficit by one dime"… oops ! too late ! he's already increased it by TRILLIONS !! "we'll get rid of the waste in government healthcare and use it to fund.. government healthcare !" .. "my door is always open.. but i only want to hear praise."…. ugh… who falls for this crapola ??
NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL FINE EMPLOYERS WHO DO NOT INSURE EMPLOYEES 8%(INSURANCE RATES ARE HIGHER THAN 8%) SO THE FINE THAT EMPLOYERS WILL PAY WILL BE CHEAPER THAN PAYING THE PREMIUM FOR INSURANCE…
*
WITH THAT IN MIND ANY AND ALL SMART BUISNESSMEN WILL PAY THE FINE AND DROP THE INSURANCE, IN DOING SO THEY WILL CUT THEIR OWN BOTTOM LINE MAKE MORE MONEY AND THEN FLOOD THE MEDICAL MARKETPLACE WITH MORE "PUBLIC OPTION" OR GOVERNMENT PATIENTS.
*
TRY GETTING A DOCTOR TO TAKE CARE OF YOU IF YOU HAVE MEDICAID OR MEDICARE…ITS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T PAY DOCTORS WHAT THEY ARE WORTH….YEA SURE LETS CONTINUE THAT PATH…
Re: spenn2 – exactly. The dems are running scared because they know that they are going to be voted out of the house next year so they are pushing a bill that is not ready. If they want to reform healthcare take on the drug companies and insurance companies. I don't want the gov't in my medical business. Take for instance someone who is an alcoholic. Years of alcohol abuse. It is in his medical records. Lets say he needs some very expensive treatments, surgery or medication. The gov't is going to look at his history and go, "Sorry, but you brought this on yourself by your behaviors. We aren't going to cover it." Or for example, take someone who is extremely sexually active who in the past has had numerous stds and contracts AIDS. The gov't is going to look into their history and say, "Sorry, you had many sexual partners and participated in risky behavior. We are not going to cover the cost of your medication." In both cases, they will die a slow death, painful, too. This goes along with the death panels. Seriously people, WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!
*
RepubLimbaugh Extremist GOPerv Rep Joe Wilson Perfectly Exemplifies….

….the RepubLimbaugh party, the Party of Limbaugh & Other Radio & TV Blowhards, and their fringe-wing whackjobs, the same whackjobs who call for the President's assassination, armed insurrection, secession, and so many other treasonous, unAmerican, anti-American notions.
*
The uncouth, boorish, crude, rude, and downright disrespectful behavior by this….cretin…not only disrespects the President, but the institution of the Congress, his fellow congress men and woman on both sides of the aisle and the nation as a whole.
*
Truly, the members of the RepubLimbaugh party are nothing more than fuckin' boorish knuckledraggin' blowhards.
*
I should think it would be pretty damned obvious by now. The Party of Rush Limbaugh cannot be allowed to get back into power for a very long time, if ever.
We've tried it the RepubLimbaugh way, the boorish, uncouth, uncivilized, ruinous, unAmerican way when they and their illgitimately ensconced Dubya and Cheney had the reigns.
*
Don't wanna go back to that shit ever again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MAN!!!
As an American living in another country I can say that I had to move out of the USA to see where I've been. And it's a HUGE lie to say you are the world's super power and richest country when you have sooooooooo many poor and homeless. When BASIC HEALTHCARE is denied to the majority of its population. When you atone your arrogance because you have health care and your neighbor does not. The rest of the world is laughing at you and you don't even know it….
Re: aprilrose23 – I agree. The fear of change is turning America into a backwater. America was founded and built off the backs of free thinkers on controversial issues. LET OBAMA DO HIS JOB SO THE REST OF THE WORLD CAN RESPECT AMERICA AGAIN!
True excellence.
It still feels like a tough bet to think this reform can be pulled off…but if we can't start moving in that direction, I am not sure
GOOD people of faith should read Frank Shaeffer ASAP if you want to know the real motives & origins of the religious right movement that has destroyed the GOP, with its increasingly cynical, fearmongering lies. You've been used, and it's time to stand up for your country, on the right side of history.
I mean really. Do you want to stand with the visionaries or the buffoons?
Judging by Glenn Beck's ratings I think I know the answer but you can't blame a girl for hoping.
Obama said the same thing he's been saying and people aren't buying. He talks and talks, but he doesn't listen. Every poll in America, even liberal ones, conclude that Americans don't want a public option. And, how is he going to pay for healthcare reform? 900 billion dollars doesn't just appear. It doesn't matter what you do, the money has to come from somewhere, which again, means more taxes for everyone.
Maybe one of you Obama fanboys can pull your head out of his bum long enough to explain to us all where the money for this magical healthcare plan is supposed to come from?
Congress has actively avoided auditing or restructuring medicaid and social security and the result is a $38 billion+ unfunded liability that will be insolvent by 2014. Why would you trust the same people to create what is essentially a medicaid program for the entire country? You could take every penny from the top 10% of income earners in this country and it still wouldn't be enough to pay for the proposed plan. All of this in mind, WHERE WILL THE MONEY COME FROM? Surely one of you out there has the brainpower to answer this simple question…
Thank you, foreign commenters for the encouragement. Stupid people, please stop yammering about things you are clueless about….Rush Limbaugh et al are not your friends and they've filled your minds with garbage. Let Obama handle this - he's brilliant.
A large amount of this mess is a direct result of GOP action/inaction The GOP has purposefully bankrupted this country to further cement their fascist like grip on your brain. It's worked frighteningly well. Break free already.
A fifth grader can tell you that the current super majority in the house and the senate mean that there is no need for bi-partisan support of these bills. These bills are failing because the Democrats themselves are not behind them. He is in fact asking Republicans to help him defeat Democrats who have no confidence in his plans. The real question here is,"Why does a Democratic congress which desires a national health care plan not want president Obama's plan?" I understand many reasons why Republicans, Libertarians, Conservatives etc say 'no' but why are the Democrats opposed to Obama's plan?
What a great speech by President Obama, very heartfelt, he showed a lot of compassion, emotion which at sometimes came off a little angry but who wouldn't in times like these, his best speech to date… 2 thumbs up Mr. President!!!!
well disabled people get free health care in the US! I'm on SSDI and i have free medicare & medicaid! I pay no copayments for hospital and doctor visits! Just had surgery and it was all paid for! life is good!
Re: U_SUCK_DONKEY_DICKS –
It's amazing how much junk you can pull out of your ass. Maybe you should consider a career as a drug mule.
Re: Wunderlust – Well said! Its sad too when friends and family back home argue with you:( Off topic, but, the worst is to watch rights being taken away. I have a friend who said "Those who give up their freedom in the name of safety will have neither".
Barack Obama has done more good for America in the past 8-9 months of his presidency than Bush did in the entirety of his eight years in office. I really wish the Republicans posting here would be respectful of the president. The Republicans' collective ignorance on this wall is overwhelming. Be open minded and understand that the impoverished people of this country cannot and have not been able to afford healthcare due to the devastating taxes put on them (and not on the wealthy) during the Bush administration.
Re: RRaaZZ – Guess you missed the part that Obama pointed to McCain and his agenda he campaigned on and wanting to use parts of that. (Cause Obama didn't campaign with specifics.) What exactly did he "clear up"? Nothing. Not a single word on WHERE other than "somewhere", no issues with tort reform, but he did throw in EXTRA FEES for private companies… where do those fees go? For employer side, they take some in, and the rest is passed onto the others, in lower health care for the same price.
Re: jilly – That is simply not true. The ignorance of these posts is worse than I previously thought.
Re: Moonmoth – You are wrong, EVERYONE has access to health care. Not everyone has access to insurance and those who do, opt out for that extra $10 every week instead of insuring their health. Oh, and let's applaud Congress for making it illegal to allow private doctors to charge set fees so the patient knows what they'll pay.
Hmm instead of blaming conservatives for not getting this through, why are so many dems not backing it?
Idiot who like to hear himself talk……talk a bunch of crap
Rasp Lover - you are playing the blame game just like 1/2 the Dems. Except 1/2 the Dems are opposed to public option, the other half are for it. When the Repubs and Indies wanted to reach across and asked for a special meeting with the President, he REFUSED. So yeah, spout some more Huffington Post blog crap and stay out of real politics. Oh but Huff Post doesn't write about the Repubs that ARE on board do they… no, because they can't sling around that the party isn't cooperating. Because it's easily believeable and they can point to that when it FAILS MISERABLY. Poll time comes, "err uhh uhh, if they had worked with us…". Perfect Red Herring. Hey, why don't you bring up the fact Obama wants to add a 35% tax on large companies who won't play by the government mandates of minimums and maximums that the government sets, right next to their endless coffers to pay for the plan.
It sounds good to me and I live in the USA and most of my friends are the "conservatives". What am I not getting? Thanks to all of our friends from other countries with similar health cares to make me sure Obama is correct for me and others. I've been for it and can't figure out the backlash.
Re: elo –
That is a great point. They know they don't need Republicans to pass it. But, Democrats survive by attacking Republicans. Obama still talks about eight months into his presidency. Ironically, he helped cause that problem by voting with the Democrat controlled Congress to let people that couldn't afford home loans get them and there went the housing market. If Obama can get one Republican, even a barely there Republican, like Olympia Snowe to vote for this plan, then it is bipartisan supported bill. If only Democrats support this and this fails, then there is no fall guy, there is no George Bush to blame. Democrats like his failed Environmental Czar don't like to take the blame for their mistakes. It's easier to blame someone else.
Re: natalee777 – I wish people who cry about all dissidents being Republican would stop, but I don't see that happening. Let's see the good… he dropped his gay rights agenda. He said pass the stimulus NOW NOW NOW, so unemployment doesn't go over 8.5% (oops), he said C4C program would have immediate payouts and benefits. 1-2% have been paid, the rest have gotten letters telling them to wait until the end of October to disburse payments and others have been outright denied for no reason. He said transparency. Then withheld the budget for almost 2 months and had a closed door secret meeting with energy bigwigs with no media release…. he doubled and close to tripled the deficit and keeps saying he will save - he hasn't saved anywhere yet and no idea where… he said he wouldn't raise a single tax, oops, forget that pesky cig tax. You are right, he achieved more than Bush - I'm glad you stand behind his "achievements". About as achieving as his voting in Congress. PRESENT!
Re: vengance – Wow. Obama has to spend money to create more jobs, which in itself, besides healthcare reform, is one of the only ways to save the economy that Bush destroyed in only eight years (through spending money on an unnecessary war and by taxing the poor population that keeps the job force (on which the nation's wealthiest people thrive) going). The least we, as a just nation, can do is stop being greedy and start humanely treating those who keep America moving.
Re: HAWTSTUFF – over your dead body
Re: natalee777 – No, I think they are just over your head. You haven't provided feedback on the topic, just a few glowing scales of your ONE, and then a dig at Bush, without ever understanding Congress… the post is right - ANYONE can go to a hospital and get care. Period. It's not only law, but Hippocratic Oath. Some bills are not allowed to go onto your credit too. The sad thing is - most who support, don't know what they are supporting, don't care - just want to be agreeing with Obama. Maybe it's because they know if they disagree, they are unAmerican…
Re: natalee777 –
I guess that's your opinion. You are no being respectful of Bush in your attack on Republicans on this board. Bush gave more money to Africa than any other President and created 20 million jobs. And, while you would love to blame the economy all on him, and he is partially to blame, the Democrat controlled Congress is also to thank for giving out loans to people who couldn't afford it which crashed the housing and bank markets. Quick review Natalee, Obama has already brought race into a case involving a professor where African-American scholars even argued there was none, he said passing the stimulus would keep unemployment at 8.5 of lower, it is now at 9.5%, and his czar has already resigned. A czar who said that Columbine would only happen with white kids. Sounds like change we can believe in, doesn't it girl?
Re: Cattac – You're a fucking idiot.
Awesomeness!
Re: Cattac – LOL! I second that!
$900,000,000,000.00 cost to TAXPAYERS (yes, that means you & your future children) to fund this bullshit. If you want to see government run healthcare, go visit your nearest V.A. (veterans) hospital. Do you really want you & your family treated like that? Obama = O-ne B-omb A-ss M-istake A-merica!
This guy is a pinko liar. He appointed that C o m m u n i s t sympathizer, Van Jones as one of his "Czars". Czars are unConstitutional and yet the "consitutional scholar" president appoints them anyway. Talk about unconstitutionally expanding the power of the executive branch. If Bush did this the left and the media would be going ape shit. P.S. Barry, what part of, "we are broke" do you not understand?
Re: AsianMusic4ever –

Re: U_SUCK_DONKEY_DICKS – You were never right.
Re: imsoregistered –
1st comment: You are right to an extent. He has delayed the gay rights agenda, because the healthcare reform and saving of the economy are more vital to the country as a whole at this moment in time. We must remember-it has been a total of less than 9 months of his presidency. And yes, I do find his "achievements" achievements. Maybe it would have been better phrased as actions of progress. And on the matter that democrats were the instigators of loans that people couldn't afford- that is completely untrue. I honestly don't know if you get your information directly from Fox News, but because Bush proposed and passed deregulation, Wall Street was able (FOR 8 YEARS) to do whatever they pleased. They gave loans to people who couldn't afford them, because no one was regulating their actions.
2nd comment: I don't think you understand the funds of public health. You CANNOT just go to the emergency room and not spend a penny from pocket. Unless you have insurance, you have to pay the full funds for the visit. Even if you do have insurance, if you have a chronic illness or potentially fatal disease, your private insurance company will drop you. That is why healthcare is so incredibly important and tragic for those who are insured and especially for those who aren't.
Re: Wunderlust – 41 YES YES YES!
I own a small business and I want a public option. I would be delighted to be able to afford reliable health insurance coverage for my employees. I don't want to deal with skeezy insurance companies that have gotten away with killing people through non-action. I don't want to put one more DIME in their pockets.
What's the use of paying $800/month for health insurance when in the end - they'll drop you when they find out you have cancer, a brain tumor, have a heart attack? Oops.. sorry - you had acne.. a yeast infection.. gallstones two decades ago. You are good enough for them when you're healthy lining their pockets and when your life is no longer profitable to them, they let you die like a dog. Screw them.
This is probably the worst time to implement such drastic reform and spending sooo much money on this piece of legislation, not to mention the freakin' stimulus bill. People who are for this, you should probably instead of listening to a talking head telling you (republican or democrat we can all deduce how many actually are morally sound and not corrupt on some level) this and that actually READ THE F****** BILL, OR AT LEAST PART OF IT. For starters look at page 16 Section 102- Hell, get some to read it to you while you goto sleep because guaranteed you'll be knocked out within 5 seconds due to lawyer jargon (why couldn't they have just done it in lamence {sp} terms for us Americans of which its going to AFFECT). And to answer your question, no I'm not a republican- actually an independent.
Bush gave more money to Africa
Re: Whatupperez –
That's really sweet and all but we need to cut out all foreign aid. We need that money here. I love Israel but no more money for them or any arab state. Did you see where Obama gave 20 billion for Brazil to drill for oil? Dems don't want us to drill here but we just gave a foreign country money so they could drill. Insane.
Re: Cottonquinn –
I'm not really sure what you are bringing out a point like mine to argue. My argument is simple, Bush isn't the monster the press or certain people make him out to be. Liberals like for us to give money to other countries, so I was using that as a point to argue that Bush wasn't such a bad guy. Do I agree with everything he did, certainly not. But, I did feel safer having him president and I don't now. To your point, I would agree that more money should be focused on improving our country and our businesses. That is a Republican idea I believe.
I don't mean to bash the Bush administration, but I feel it necessary to point out the essentially fatal courses of action that the GOP took while in office. People are bashing Obama on the subject of healthcare reform (a subject that Bush never tried to improve for the people who so desperately need it). Bush did do tremendously wonderful things for veterans and foreign crises funds. I just can't see where people are coming from when Obama has only positive intentions in what he does and when the majority of what he has already done has been very progressive. And I don't think you understand the funds of public health. You CANNOT just go to the emergency room and not spend a penny from pocket. Unless you have insurance, you have to pay for the visit. Even if you do have insurance, if you have a chronic illness or potentially fatal disease, your private insurance company will drop you. That is why healthcare is so incredibly important and tragic for those who are insured and especially for those who aren't. And how has race been even remotely relevant in my comments or yours? The fact that you think just because an African-American has an opposing opinion to Obama's, that it can then justify YOUR opposing opinion is incredibly irrational. You can't gain leverage on an issue from that.
Re: Cottonquinn – America has no money because Bu$h propped up the Banking $ystem so those in charge who screwed it up could still walk away with their diamond studded = platinum plated = golden parachutes at the taxpayers expense.
Obama's the one slinging scare tactics and lies. Dems voted down straight party vote on language to require proof of citizenship to get healthcare. That's why he was called out as the liar he is. You can't add millions to the free insurance and then expect service to improve and costs not go up. You can't add $700 billion to the budget and not increase the deficit. He says people are dying but it doesn't start for 4 years. Total garbage.
Re: natalee777 –
You are so far off. First of all, you don't need to explain how healthcare works to me, I'm a diabetic that constantly fights for my insurance. That said, you are wrong again about Bush. Do you research this stuff before you say it? Bush tried to introduce tort reform, but it was shot down by the Democrat Control Congress. You know that was where Reid and Pelosi came in. They are Democrats. Democrats typicaly don't like lawyers not getting paid for suing hospitals, which is why Obama barely mentioned it in tonight's speech. Second, all comments that have been made about race have been in regards to comments made by the Obama administration. Like it or not, he injected race into the Beer Gate you might remember a few weeks ago. This was where African-American police officers said that the cop had not acted racist towards the professor, but Obama did. But, if you want to add more people that aren't African-American, John McCain and even Ted Kennedy said that the cops action weren't racist. So, either Obama believes the cop acted racially when he spoke out, which was wrong, or he misspoke before he knew the whole situation, so which is it? Great leadership there.
Healthcare for all!!!
Re: Wunderlust –
You can add the Democrat Controlled Congress to that too Wunderlust. Dodd, Frank and Pelosi all helped with the banking and housing breakdowns. Barack Obama voted for several pieces of legislation that did just that, so don't put it all on Bush. And, you know the bank bailout that was organized most recently? Dodd put the legislation in there to put more golden parachutes in there. Again, Democrat controlled Congress. Bush had nothing to do with that and neither did the Republicans.
Re: Whatupperez – I think we can agree that Obama was handed the Poison Challis. He didn't create it.

I hear a lot of scared, uneducated people here. Get a clue. You buy into lies, you hear the oppositions stance, because they're desperate, and you believe it. This is why the republican party is failing, because you people are stupid. People need help, why are you denying them? I say you're dumb, don't have true facts, and believe what flailing policticians say. You're just scared.
Todays democrats are tommorrows repulicans.
Let us proceed as a country. Stop being so scared and misinformed.
Re: natalee777 – CREATE MORE JOBS???? WHAT! THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS 9.7% THE UNDER 18 UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS 26%. A "GREEN JOB" COST THE US ECONOMY 2 NORMAL JOBS.

SERIOUSLY SEEK OUT INFORMATION ON YOUR OWN, NOT WHAT HUFFINGTON POST AND DAILY KOS TELL YOU. EVEN THE CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE A BI-PARTISAN INDEPENDANT OVERSIGHT OFFICE QUESTIONS PRESIDENT OBAMA'S NUMBERS AND HIS POLICY.
Re: Whatupperez –
I am truly sorry that you are diabetic. I can't imagine that. This makes me even more surprised that you don't support the new healthcare reform. The healthcare "reform" that Bush proposed was funded by the tax paying poor people of the country (which would worsen even further the debt caused by the taxing of the low income). That is why it was shot down by the democrats. Because you are an diabetic and even with insurance struggle getting the necessary funds for medical treatment, I would imagine that you more than many would be able to understand the tragic circumstances that uprise from having a serious medical condition or disease while being uninsured.
And because you didn't respond to my correction of your belief that democrats were the ones giving out unfundable loans, I'm assuming you misspoke or stand corrected.
Re: Wunderlust –
I don't agree with that really. Bush inherited a deficit too, left by a Democrat. It's how a President responds to the situation that defines them. Bush created jobs, and so far, Obama has made a stimulus package that hasn't even been 5% spent. He said passing it would keep unemployment around 8.5, and we are now at 9.5 and growing. And, one thing you keep failing to acknowledge is Barack Obama was part of the Democrat Controlled Congress that looked the other way with all the economic stuff. To infer that he feel like an innocent child into this bad situation is ridiculous. The only thing I would agree with you is that there were hardships, but then again, there were with Bush coming after Clinton. But, Obama did help create the problems he claims only Bush gave him. Look at his Senate voting record. The Democrats love to play blame game. Obama got himself elected that way.
Re: vengance – ur a fucking dum ass did u even pay atintion u are a fucking dum ass
Re: Lindsey87 –
What you just said was moronic. When someone quotes facts and legislation that is not uneducated. You come off uneducated making blanket statements. Where are your facts or support to back up what you are saying.
Re: vengance – but dum ass he knew he was wrong that y his oen party got pissed at him fucking loser wat are u 10
America has no money because Bu$h propped up the Banking $ystem so those in charge who screwed it up could still walk away with their diamond studded = platinum plated = golden parachutes at the taxpayers expense. Re: Wunderlust –
You are so ignorant. Our monetary system has been flawed since Bretton Woods 1931. The Federal Reserve is the real enemy. That's how the government has been ripping us off and they've been doing it long before Bush. They use inflation (an invisible tax)created via the Federal Reserve's printing up of fiat currency(see also monetization of debt or quantitative)easing). The Federal government uses inflation, to not pay but only look like they are paying for wars and social spending. We need to return to the gold standard and get rid of the Federal Reserve. People love to say the FED is not beholden to government or politics but who else are they printing the money for besides the elite and their crony friends? Support Ron Paul's S. 603; call your senators today and demand they support this important legislation.
Re: natalee777 –
I don't stand corrected in anything I said to you. What do refundable loans have to do with anything? I am missing something I guess. I don't support the government spending 900 billion dollars so that they can take over my health care decisions. Right now, I hold onto my doctor, who knows me. Health Care Reform, like in his speech, sounds great, but it costs. We can't afford it. While I personally would like to see health care reform, I also don't want to be fighting other people to get to a doctor that I don't approve of. If we add the projected 36 million plus people to the health care, how does a person with cancer get in and see a doctor. Answer is, we need more doctors and medical personnel. Under the Democrats plan, doctors get paid less and work longer hours, so how do you purpose educating enough people to care for all of us adequately? Tort reform needs to happen, but democrats won't touch that. So, there are lines like Britain and Canada and more women die of treatable cancers, like breast cancer.
Don't be fooled by the Neo-con Republicans/Democrats or "REPUBLICRATS." They are the same. And for the record Douche Limbaugh sucks his own fat ass. The GOP needs to be taken back by Old-School Republicans who haven't been in office for decades.
Re: Cottonquinn – Where do you get your info from? The Answer Book for Angry Americans? You're in no position to define others as ignorant. What a tosser.
I'm not really sure what you are bringing out a point like mine to argue.Re: Whatupperez –
Not meaning to argue really. When you look at how the media demonized Palin, who I did not particularly care for, it's not hard to realize how much power the media had to demonize Bush. The media has the pwoer to affect elections. This is dangerous. Look I'm still a relative novice to politics but I know that sometimes both parties can be dead wrong. I just think we need to get back to true fiscal conservatism because if you aren't a fiscal conservative then you are not a conservative. Republicans, in the past 6-8 years cut taxes but they didn't cut government spending; you have to do both. The government needs to quit spending money we don't have. It's out of control and it's going to destroy us. Another 2-3 years without true change to our monetary and fiscal policy, which we would've gotten under a man like Ron Paul, and we will be knee deep in an inflationary depression.
Re: Wunderlust –
Is that all you have? Shut up and sit down, little girl.
Re: Whatupperez – The real question is whether the Bush administration did everything it could to reverse the decline and get the economy back on track. For example, Bush has very appropriately blamed the terror attacks of 9/11 for sending the U.S. economy further into recession. But were those attacks preventable? If so, should the Bush administration bear some of the responsibility for not heading them off? (We'll let you decide the answer to that one.)
As with much of the debate in the current presidential campaign, these numbers probably won’t change too many minds. The record clearly shows that the recession began on Bush’s watch, even though there were signs it was coming during the last months of the Clinton administration. Whether the outcome would have been different with a Democrat in the White House is really unknowable.
