Katherine Heigl Adopting A Baby Girl!

It's Grey's Anatomy baby fever!
Katherine Heigl is adopting a 10-month old baby girl this week from Korea. Her name is Nayleigh, but will be called Leigh for short.
The adoption process has reportedly been in the works for at least six months as Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelly have been wanting a child for quite a while.
“She is thrilled,” said a source. “She and Josh are so happy.”
This explains the hiatus and quitting the cancer sticks!
Congrats on the new baby!
But, fair warning, she'll keep you working much longer than 17 hours a day!

Korean babies are completely precious. I just returned from a month in the region and I must say I had resist in taking one home myself.
why can't anyone adopt American babies? We have a ton of children in the foster and orphan systems right here at home, be a proud American support our country

1) The directors & the crew work WAY HARDER & LONGER then she could ever imagine….im a filmmaker…i know what im talking about!
2) There are people in this world & in this country who work a million times as hard for 1/100,000 of what she earns! And they don't get fancy trailers, clothing, jewelry and adoring fans!!!!!

Heigl's own sister is of Korean descent (i.e., adopted). Thus, this is likely the reason she chose to adopt a Korean baby–in honor of her sister.
YAY! I'm glad that finally some celebrity is adopting from a country (not Cambodia or Malawi hint hint) where US adoptions are legal for all Americans, not just the ones with cash and a hot boyfriend!

NICE STORY, BUT I WISH EVERYONE HAD THE LUXURY OF ADOPTING QUICKLY! PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT RICH WAIT FOR YEARS! I HAD TO WAIT FOR OVER TWO YEARS WITH AN AGENCY THAT STOLE EVERYONE'S MONEY! THE REASON WHY A LOT OF PEOPLE ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE USA IS BECAUSE…it is easier, the adoption process is very very intense in the US, not to mention that there are a lot of loop holes in adoption in America- if the parents changes their mind they get their child back, even if the adopted parents are attached to the child, it doesnt matter- then there are the grandparents can fight the adoptive parents for adoption. In other countries the adoption laws are much more firm. You get the baby you keep the baby
Im not saying that people should not adopt American children–far from it, im just saying why people tend to choose foreign babies.

That pisses me off! Why is it that everyone wants to adopt from Korea, Russia and shit like that?! I'm not going to be like "Oh your sooo great" this is just promo shit like everything else! And you know what if she really wanted to do a good deed there are PLENTY of children here in THIS COUNTRY, OUR COUNTRY that need parents! It makes me so mad! Granted it's a good deed, but we should start taking care of our own instead of bring MORE people over here. I just don't think that it's right I don't believe that people should be able to adopt kids from other countries unless they have adopted one from America first. We need to take care of our children here first before we go SAVING someone elses children.
