      Perez!!

One of the problems facing the health care reforms going on in Washington is that young people are not getting involved. Obama's strongest supporters are remaining earily silent.

With all the uproar over every detail of gay rights issues, why haven't you mentioned ANYTHING about the health care reform? It's a complicated issue, I know. I don't understand it myself, but post a few articles and even if only half of your readers give it a glance… that is such a huge contribution to our future.

      Thanks

I have personally helped out at Dawn Farm and have seen the positive impact it teaches the addicts and alcoholics. The staff and whole program is great. The program has had its hard times but people always come to help. I hope it continues its goals and helps more people. It was a shock to see it here on your site though. Thanks for putting it in your "worthwhile cause" Anything that is around to improve a persons life IS a worth while cause :-)

Dawn Farm is one of the many places that offer addiction help. However, after working there personally, the 'AA' community that they create is quite 'clique-ish' unfortunately… Bravo to the many addicts who manage to stay clean daily!

This is an amazing place - they help that I got there has helped me live the kind of life that I never thought I would be able to have. Thank you for including them in your "Worthwhile Cause" section.

PS - The Dawn Farm Jamboree is this Sunday, the 13th, and it is their largest annual fundraiser. If you're in the area, you should check it out :)

      Perez,
Thank you for posting Dawn Farm on your site. My Partner Christopher was there for 4 months until recently…he passed away at the age of 34 due to his addiction to alcohol. This place is amazing and more importantly, they are aNon-Profit Rehab, which is very hard to find in this country. I had the priveledge to tour the farm and the one thing that stood out to me was their clothes closet that clients can use if they have no clothes. Chris and I were featured on Intervention on A&E in October. Since then, he relapsed several times and went to the Farm where he really embraced his sobriety and fought his hardest to beat his addiction. Please continue to support them. If you want any information on our (Chris') story, please go to www.myspace.com/thesfbproject
