Leibovitz Lucks Out!
As we previously mentioned, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has been having some MAJOR financial woes.
She was recently sued by Art Capital Group for failing to cooperate in the selling of her assets to pay off a $24 million loan, but luckily for her they have withdrawn the lawsuit!
Leibovitz and Art Capital have come to a mutual agreement in which the photographer has purchased back the rights "to act as the exclusive agent in any sale of her fine art, intellectual property and real estate assets." In return, Art Capital has agreed to extend the deadline for loan repayment.
We don't know how much she paid, but it must be a pretty sizable amount if the bank is being generous with the deadline. Although they haven't stated when the new deadline is, so it's unknown how much time Annie has to get her shiz together!
Leibovitz kissed some banker ass issued a statement saying:
"In these challenging times I am appreciative to Art Capital for all they have done to resolve this matter and for their cooperation and continued support."
Phew, what a close call! Not only were all 4 of her homes at risk, but all the rights to her past AND future work!
You got a pretty lucky break there, Annie, so maybe it's time to cut back a bit?

It's possible that Annie had work that came up in different locations for and extended period of time and purchased a house with the intent to sell later on. Being that we are in a recession, she may still have that many houses because she can't seem to sell them. However, it is apparent that she may just be bad with money. I think the $24 Million debt shows that. She's obviously lost a bit of control over her financial situation. I hope she can work her way out. She is an amazing artist.
Feeling sorry for her. Boo Hoo Hoo. Anyone who has the power to borrow 24 million dollars? I am well off and would have trouble borrowing 1/50th of that. Don't invite me to your pity party.

All the people who hire Annie Leibovitz for her photography could save a lot of money by hiring a monkey to take photographs. The would get the same quality art work, at a much cheaper price.

Her phoyos are so creative. Her talent is on display for the world to see. I hope all these side issues are taken care of so she can get back to what she does best. he meantime Annie, pay your bills. You don't need multiple homes. Wouldn't two be enough? We love your work but you have to pay your bills. If I didn't, I'd be in a homeless shelter. Just because of you namyou get a lot of breaks that would never be given to ordinary people like me. Show some gratitude. It goes a long way.
