Michael Jackson Tribute Postponed!
Looks like Jermaine Jackson finally came to his senses. After Chris Beat-Her-Down, Mary J. Blige and Natalie Cole had no plans on performing, the Vienna concert is now postponed.
Jermaine had this to say:
"Numerous stars were just not able to change their schedules to make a live appearance at the Vienna event possible. Many artists and performers who I have spoken to personally told me that it would be a great honor to be part of this memorial concert for my late brother.
However, due to the short time frame it was not possible for many of them to change their schedule so that they could be on stage in Vienna on September 26, therefore we decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to June 2010 - just a few weeks before the first anniversary of his untimely death.
Now we have eight months to put this monumental show together and not just eight weeks."
After careful consideration? We don't think you had a choice!
Luckily, the ticket holders will be receiving a refund.
The organizers of the event, World Tribute Productions, hope to secure Wembley Stadium in London, where Michael had performed 15 times.
That makes A LOT more sense to us!
Hopefully this time around Jermaine won't go around making shiz up about who's going to be there!

i'd be mad if i bought tickets! but i think its for the best. the location in london makes a lot more sense than in vienna. i still think its kind of in bad taste especially on jermaine's part since he's the organiser.

The poor people who had tickets, they keep getting their schedules messed around with. I think that he should have made this decision a long time ago, instead of changing things around ALL THE TIME.
the Naked Boys Choir pulled out and that was all it took.
i personally think its too early for a big tribute concert of any kind, he just passed in June. there needs to be some time to re group… for the one year aniversary, that would be more appropriate for a big tribute concert.
although im looking forward to the VMA tribute, i think its going to be great.

What do you make of the whole Jermaine vs. Momma's Family , about his "Neverland"/ Graceland revisited ? For being so "close" to hs bro-he really has no real clue , as to what Mikey "Neverland Wanted" again . Then for this physycotic over wrought relative , to want to lay his own Brother down - to rest - in the very place his life was so filled with hell - due to his "pedi-curious" lifestyle-and wanted NOTHING to do with again. Yep everyone wants to rest eternally in the very place that brought nothing but bad memories & lots of SLEEPLESS NIGHTS . NO WONDER MIKEY LIKED HIS "MILK"- he was damned if he did and more damned if he didn't . I think in the movie , "Man in the mirror" as you see mikey looking in the mirror & seeing his likeness to daddy warucks Joe-he had to over obsess with the plastic surgery & probaly doubled up on his meds.
