Woodstock: The Musical!

The legendary musical festival of the 60s has been immortalized on film, a book and now - a musical!
One of the organizers of Woodstock, Michael Lang is producing a Broadway musical about the 1969 landmark festival with the score to be taken from the tunes of the era and book based off tome, The Road to Woodstock.
The production team hopes to have a workshop up and running within the next year and hit the Great White Way during the 2010-11 season.
Pretty ambitious considering funding is hard to come by these days!

Re: karencarpenter – i got the acid!!!
funding might not be as hard for that as for spiderman, which has a disgustingly huge budget.
i think this is EXTREMELY promising. who doesn't love good 60s tunes in a musical?

Lang used to be such a cutie, except for those sandals. If it wasn't for him, I doubt Yasgur would have ever let them have the festival on his property.
