10 Andy Warhol original paintings were stolen from a Los Angeles home last week!
The theft, which LAPD is calling one of the "largest residential burglaries that has occurred in LA", took place at the home of art collector Richard Weisman, whose 10 paintings from Warhol's Athlete Series were stolen between September 2nd and September 3rd while Weisman was out of town.
The lifted paintings include portraits of Muhammad Ali, O.J. Simpson, Chris Evert, Dorothy Hammill, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Pele, Jack Nicklaus and even a portrait of Weisman himself.
The LAPD currently have no leads in the case, other than the burglar appears to be "somebody that might have had a little more knowledge about the house and the occupants."
Weisman has offered a $1 million reward for the Warhols, and LAPD are almost positive that "at some point [the paintings] will show up."
