WORLD PREMIERE! SuBo Does The Stones!!!!

wenn5351786.jpg

This is kinda awesome!

The first single off Susan Boyle's debut album is a somewhat unexpected choice.

The Britain's Got Talent runner-up and Internet phenomenon has done a cover of the Rolling Stones classic, Wild Horses, and it sounds gorgeous.

SuBo puts her own spin on the iconic song and it sounds/feels very much her.

We like it a lot!

What do U think????

Check it out (below)!

Wow…that was amazing. I've liked her ever since I saw her on Talent, but was ambivalent about buying the cd…until I heard this. Her voice, this song…everything was perfect! Yeah Susan!

    2. 302

      very nice!

    3. 303

Yeah, it's beautiful and deserves the hype. Streisand has already done this type of thing just as good. But I could listen to this song again.

    4. 304

      Exquisite.

Sept 13, 2009 - Sunday — 07:43 PM Central Time — Love Wild Horses — Susan Boyle. I never heard this song before so since it said Rolling Stones did this song, I listened to it and thought I liked Susan Boyle's redition better. She certainly has beautiful voice. I would never get on and talk about someone I did not like — why bother. There are lots of singers I do not like — I would not waste my time. I do like Susan Boyle and will buy her music when it becomes available. I think people who get on here to put Susan Boyle down just wants attention — nothing more. If I were Susan Boyle, I would not cry over those annoying comments (which I doubt she reads) but I would laugh all the way to the bank where I would put all my millions. And as far as looks go, there are a whole lot of ulgy men singing — I looked at the Rolling Stones and they are not much to look at. What people do is listen to the music, not the person's face or body. It is the music that is everlasting — not the flesh.

    6. 306

God blessed her with an amazing gift. Her singing is very calming and this rendition is great. I can't believe she covered rolling stones. Ahhh.

    7. 307

What a lovely song. The Rolling Stones Doesn't do this song justice. Susan gives it a whole new sound. I can't wait to get your album.

    8. 308

She sings really well & she'll only get better!! Liked her version of this song - can't wait to hear the rest of the cd!

    9. 309

Needs less volume, on the piano, and more on Susan. I still have no idea of what she was saying.

    10. 310

Wow, a favorite song made even more of a favorite! Nice to hear her use her voice for something less operatic, too. Really shows her range!

    11. 311

      awesome work on Susan's part……

not joining your 'posse' perez…just came hear to listen to the song.

    12. 312

goose bumps and tears love the song rolling stones version…sundays version and susans version all awesome….i know its a breakup song but it reminds me of the loss of my mother…..

    13. 313

tho she has a beautiful voice she misses the thrust of the entire song b/c the lyrics are supposed to say "we'll ride them someday" at least 2 times and those words and concept give the most important meaning and passion to the song! . . . xoxoxo

    14. 314

OMG, closed my eyes and I was in a trance…

    15. 315

      Re: mkyonmibck

But she's singing about caring for and then losing her mother. She changed the meaning of the song on purpose. She chose to stay with her mother as her mother suffered, then Susan suffered after her mother died. But, wild horses couldn't drag her away. She sacrificed 20 years for her mother and still carries her with her…. that's the point of the song, I believe.

    16. 316

      Go Susan. Love it.

    17. 317

    18. 318

Re: FactsOnly – the original lyrics say "let's do some living after we die" and then "wild horses, we'll ride them someday" as they are finally enjoying being together again in the after life! . . . the wild horses couldn't drag her away from caring in lfe . . . but they look forward to being together again and ride the wild horses in eternity . . . if she used the real lyrics it would have given it a deeper meaning!

    19. 319

Ya gotta give it to the chick….she can sing. Wonder if she gives good head?

      320

Gorgeous. If Kate Bush were to cover this, it would probably sound very similar in style.

    21. 321

Loved it!! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. When reading several of the other comments, I kept thinking of the saying, "You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time". Susan has enough fans to have a successful singing career and what more could a girl from a small Scottish village who loves to sing ask for?

    22. 322

WOW…..this woman has an amazing voice! LOVE this song…

    23. 323

She is simply brilliant. Who else could take a Stone's song and make it as beautiful?

    24. lbear says – reply to this

      324

      I'd buy her album

    25. 325

You have got to be fucking kidding me. A cow singing about a horse?

    26. 326

Don't any of you idiots know The Sundays Harriet Wheeler did this version the best and there is NO way this "internet phenomenon" can top it.

    27. 327

Wow! She has a beautiful singing voice :D

    28. 328

*pops over to Amazon to check out the rest of the album*

    29. 329

a so exceptionnel voice, beautiful voice
      i love this song

    30. 330

      Re: Alisa-Chan
There's no info on her CD on Amazon because it's not released until Nov 24. :( There are a couple of show tunes, according to Simon, one or two jazz and the rest pop songs (mostly ballads). That's all we know. :)

    31. 331

Love it. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was a very well-gifted and trained YOUNG woman.. her voice sounds youthful but with true talent.

    32. 332

Susan's voice and style are mesmerizing. Beautiful song, and I am even more excited about her album. Susan has "it."

    33. 333

OMG sooper amazing loved the emotion i n her voice

    34. 334

to: lopez hyatt: the song was written by Gram Parsons, not the Stones, check out his version (Flying Burrito Brothers)

    35. 335

so an exceptionnel voice, such a beautiful voice and
      a lovely song

    36. 336

      beautiful.

    37. Goran says – reply to this

      337

Sounds like she is constipated. Which explains why you like it Perez..cause you're a dumb fat bitch who is always constipated.

Wonder when you will a 2nd punch in your face

    38. 338

      beauty

    39. 339

OMG..was always one of my favorite songs…but hearing her sing it made it even better. Absolutely lovely. It made me a bit teary…

    40. 340

WOW…her voice gives me goose bumps…beautiful!

    41. 341

Is that her for real? She has a gorgeous sound. Some people have good voices that don't record well but she sounds great on record. I'd have to hear more before I committed to buy the CD though.

    42. 342

oh wow…i loved it. i might have just bought her cd

    43. 343

This is incredibly beautiful. What a wonderful gift she has…

    44. 344

this woman has a beautiful voice. I think people are entitled to your opinion but you don't have to be cruel or over the edge like a few of you… she is an ordinary person who made it good for her!!! Sing your heart out

    45. 345

Su-Bo is amazing and i was lucky enough to see her live in london on the BGT tour : ]

    46. 346

I just bought a one way ticket on the subo fan train.

    47. 347

i think its about time..that people started appreciating real talent..and we need to support it when it comes our way..she is truely gifted..and no one could do that song better..im am so sick of the non talented 'pretty' singers they keep shoving down our throats..all the tabloid 'darlings'..who are products..and most people are so dumb..so controllable..they fall for the hype..'pretty' is for porn..they have no place in the music industry..and for those with the rude comments..'face dont match the voice'..etc..you know who u are..have u looked in the mirror lately?..are you good enuff looking to dare speak????

    48. 348

This is FANTASTIC Scotland must be very proud of Susan.
A voice you can listern to over and over again and in fact get lost in.
      WONDERFUL.

    49. 349

I would love to hear her sing with Paul Potts.
Now that would be somthing else.

    50. 350

      SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

    51. 351

Beautiful, I've just ordered the album!!

    52. 352

it is a gorgeous rendition… it reminds me a lot of the version Charlotte Martin did on her first album - extremely simialr to that version, piano and all. thanks for sharing, Perez.

    53. 353

"Wild Horses" is my favorite song of ALL TIME, so needless to say I definitely had my reservations in listening to this, but I must say that Susan Boyle does a great job. It's quite lovely.

    54. 354

      Exquisite!

    55. 355

A Mick & Subo duet of this would be incredible. Push it!

    56. 356

Charlotte Martin was signed to Simon Cowell's then record label, BMG, in 2004 and she did this accoustic version of Wild Horses. They have purely used her "version" but with Susan Boyle singing it. I do love Susan Boyle's version though, it is beautiful but then, so too is the Charlotte Martin version, it's a fantastic song.

    57. 357

Wow! Absolutely stunning! Thanks for posting this, Perez. Susan's version is MUCH better than Charlotte Martin's. I think that people are adding appearance to the factor - listen to both versions w/o watching the singers. Charlotte is good, Susan blows it out of the water - amazing. As for the haters, there will always be silly little gnats that have nothing better to do with their lives than spout garbage and hate. Susan will be laughing all the way to the bank and they'll still be typing their nasty little insults. Sad..sad Losers!

    58. 358

its so nice to hear voice its fantastik…….

    59. 359

i really love her voice good work susan

    60. 360

All of those making fun of excalibur, stop it . this poor lad needs sex but his sister is away on vacation so he is a bit upset, and remember the poor lad excalibur who has the iq of pidgeon droppings is also upset because he found out today from his parents that if they had known he was goint to be this stupid they would have traded him in for a pet chimp at birth. poor lad give him a break, both of his legs would be a good place to start. what a moron and am so glad to see all the lovely people taking that moron to task. wtg guys. oh by the way susan boyle is outstanding by anyones definition

    61. 361

And for the lunatic fringe who say she copied this from?, it was not copied from anyone. There have been 10 groups and singers that have done this track. Everyone in there own unique way and that is why people have opinions on there versions. Susan boyles version in my opinion is the best of all, but it does not make other people wrong about how they percieve the version they like. and as for copying other hits, does anyone in here seriously believe , the stones, the beatles, and a zillion others released cd's with only there songs on. and as for susan boyle, if you do not like her thats fine with everyone am sure in this forum, but to slag her down and take her apart makes those that do that the garbage of the world. there are some lovely people in here that will stand up for her, in fact not just for her but for anyone that the the texas chainsaw massacre mentality brigade that come into these rooms and try to ridicule those who have no defense. so do yourselves a favour leave these people alone or keep the hell out of here

    62. 362

apologies when i said it was not copied form anyone, i meant the only thing required was permission from the stones to record it.

    63. 363

Give me a break. Su-boring. Every song she does sounds the same. Her voice has too many effects on it. Boyle is music for an insomniac. And no, I'm not jealous of this minimally talented person.

    64. 364

This is lovely, but it IS a rip of Charlotte Martin's personalized cover. Every single note is exactly the same - the vocals, the piano, you name it. That's pretty lame.

    65. 365

re:Give me a break. Su-boring. Every song she does sounds the same. Her voice has too many effects on it. Boyle is music for an insomniac. And no, I'm not jealous of this minimally talented person.

Hmm minimally talented, wow so your the only sane one that thinks that and what we are left with is 350 million lunatics that adore her. You need to go see your doctor as the last prescription he gave you eveidently is not working

    66. 366

Hauntingly beautiful. Susan did a marvelous recording.

    67. 367

      Absolutely beautiful.

    68. 368

I think she is every bit as good as Cary Underwood, and better than Madonna, Miriah Carey, or Whitney Houston.

    69. 369

Try listening with pair of good earphones on and all other noise shut out completely new remake with touch of extreme elegance completely put me in an imagination trance just floating to another world but landing ever so softly

    70. 370

She has tremendous moving storytelling in her singing stealing your heart and soul as she sirenly sings gathering grey clouds to make them shed soft weeping tears to put you inside the song as if you were the words themselves

    71. 371

makes you want to create a story to follow along with the music such as a video inside each listener's head

    72. 372

Just listening to her sing takes all my worries away!

    73. 373

I've always liked this song alot anyway & this sounds great.

    74. 374

You are AMAZING Susan, This song is a beatiful version of wild horses i love jou Susan and a kiss from Holland

    75. 375

This song brought me to tears! Very surprising. Good Job SUBO!

    76. 376

How does any kind of dancing compare with great singing??? Duh!!
Singing moves the soul… dancing is interesting but what does it do for you?
Susan is one great singer and this is a wonderful song… She has my support
and she is one artist who's CD I will buy….Go for it SUSAN… you rock….and
you deserve great success.. and you will have it… is my prediction…

    77. 377

Is this lady serious? She is amazing. OMG I have listened to her music over and over. Wild horses, I keep going back to my computer to watch her sing. She is incredible. It is about time that we listen to real vocals, real music. Thank you Susan for sharing with America your great talent. I can not wait for your album to come out which I have already ordered. Love you lots, New Jersey

    78. 378

I think Susan is a marvelous singer. Susan, don't let anyone tell you that you can not sing. I could sit and listen to you all day. And as far as Xcalibur……..there is not any music coming out of that mouth.
Once again, you are the best singer I have heard in ages. I can't hardly wait til you album comes out.
      QuiltingMomma…..out!
