After the fall out of the 2006 MTV Europe Music Award stage crashing, Kanye West visited the Johnjay and Rich radio show in July 2007 and rants chats about award shows, being emotion and his need for validation.
Here are some HIGHlights:

Coming off the European Awards and all the backlash I was getting. People not really understanding my passion. And understanding that these award shows is wrestling. And that it's not real. You take an artist that connects with 20,000 fans or an artist that makes a song like Roses, where somebody's mother passes away and they say that song helped me or make songs like Spacious and they say that song helped me through my job and you have me come to an award show and tell me I'm about to win and say 'Nah, we're just gonna give you this over here'. It's like, I'm not a pop artist like that. You know what I'm saying? I don't have media training. I'm emotional. And what's good though is because of all that backlash, a lot of people didn't like me. So I went in and made music like people that like me. It made it like I was a new artist and had to win them over and now, I believe I'm making the best album I've ever delivered with Graduation.On the Dixie Chicks' undeserved 2007 Grammy:
I wasn't even up against them. Gnarls Barkley was up against them. But, that just shows you my dedication as a fan. As a music critic. How does Gnarls Barkley not walk away with album of the year or song of the year?
I looked to see, though, right when Dixie Chicks won. I said 'Do you want me to run up on stage? I don't care. I'll run up on stage for you and be like, oh no, Gnarls Barkley should have won.' They would have been some captions in there like, 'why was Kanye West on stage.? He wasn't even nominated.' But they won't understand that I'm a fan that's too close. I'm a glitch in this matrix. Man, this music for me is like a sport. And the only thing we got for championships is, like, award shows. So if something goes wrong, I'm gonna scream at the ref."
We haven't see a temper tantrum that bad since watching Supernanny!

who is he to decide who should win or not. just because he thinks gnarls barkley should win doesn't mean that they should. and just because he thinks beyonce should win doesn't mean that she should. its his opinion and that doesn't mean everyone else is thinking what hes thinking. hes an idiot, and hes mean he only thinks about himself, he clearly went on that stage to express how he was feeling but he didn't think about how taylor would feel because he just has this ego and he thinks he has the right to do whatever he wants, but he doesn't, he always ends up looking like an ass.
what this asshole needs to realize is that just because HE thinks that the dixie chicks or taylor swift did not deserve an award, does NOT mean he can rightfully walk up stage and interrupt like a child, and scream "OH NO THIS PERSON SHOULD HAVE WON!". The award was chosen not by MTV producers, or music artists, but the millions of fans that are watching the VMAs, and actually made those artists famous, including Kanye. Just because he is a so called "music artist" does NOT mean he has all this power to declare which artist is better than the other, it's all mass vote. What a DUMB.ASS. he should just stop making shitty music, calling other shitty music "the greatest music of all time", and cry and whine like a little bitch because he, himself didn't win shit.

But I have to say, Isn't this what he always does? Just like I expect Lady Gaga to wear something 5 (or more) years ahead of our time, his ego is part of his what makes him a star!
What he failed to realize, in my opinion, is that this was the VMAs. Although most of the artists are over 20, I'm sure most of the voters were the same voters from the Teen Choice Awards. I don't think that he is racist because he collaborates with a lot of non-black people. I think he might have Adult ADHD mixed with a bad case of "the world revolves around me.. or people I like". That's why he doesn't see how country-pop artists can win.
(I know this is not PC right now) I watched all of these videos again and I really like Taylor's song, but the video is CHEESY!! She'll be 20 soon and she's still making high school videos… please. I'm sure that if he didn't do that last night, the story would've been "How did Taylor Swift beat Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Pink?!" Kelly's song is great too, but the video could've been better.

It was her first time, as Beyonce noted, she was so excited on her first award with Destinys Child and Taylor DESERVED that moment. No she didn't have the best female video in my opinion, but it was her FIRST EVER VMA. Leave the kid alone Kayne.
Beyonce has gone right up in my estimation after giving up her time for Taylor. And Taylor also, she handled that situation, where many teenagers would have freaked out, with dignity. And to get up and perform that song after it? Class. True Class.

What a wanker. I personally hated 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley. People like him miss the point of music; everyone has a different taste, it doesn't mean Taylor/Dixie Chicks deserved the award less because he doesn't like them. The onlt reason he's backtracking is because there's been such a backlash, the poor girl is only 17.
