As a musician I can tell you that Taylor Swift's pitch is not good…she sings in the monotone…and her voice is nasal. Taylor seems like a nice person, most of the time, and I applaud her for that, but the true reality is this, if it were all about talent, she never would have gotten into a metting with a record company, let alone getting a contract…and having sold multi-platinum. Karen Carpenter, that was a great singer…and musician, absolutely elite. Taylor Swift is horrible…and same with the Jonas Brothers!!! BTW, I know an exec who gave information about the Jonas Brothers that the industry he picked them to be the next big thing. That was in December 2007, and withn 3 to 6 months…that exec was proven to be accurate–and exec, who said that they are simply not very good–but the Powers That Be in the industry had chosen them to make into the next "It" group regardless of their lack of talent–and you, the mainstream audience buy into the image making, and are will to purchase the false perception that you are being sold by 60 year old men in suits who decide what is cool, and what is not.
