Such a compliment to his work!

On the live results show next Wednesday, Dancing with the Stars will pay tribute to Patrick Swayze, whose recent passing was a sudden shock to the entertainment community.

“We have some very fond memories of [the late actor] coming to help us out when we were a tiny little show way back when,” said Conrad Green, Dancing’s executive producer.

The beloved actor and trained dancer made an appearance of Dancing with the Stars' first season in 2005, demonstrating a few moves in rehearsal for friend John O’Hurley and even came to support the show by attending the season 1 finale.

“He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor,” continued Green. “He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance. We want to honor the great moments he’s brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films.”

Can't wait. Will U be watching?!

I'll definitely tune in. I used to be freaking IN LOOOOVE with Patrick Swayze when I was little. I'm sad that he's gone, but he put up a good fight and was hurting for a long time. I'm glad that he's finally at peace.

Re: andriiiiia – Yeah, everyone KNEW he was sick, but it still sucks because it's almost like losing a friend. When you grow up watching someone like Patrick, how vital and strong he was,it's still a shock that he's gone.

I love Patrick Swayze's work and his loss is a loss to the world, but puhleeze: "sudden shock to the entertainment community?" Every network had a tribute program already in the can. If this tragedy came as a shock to anyone it would only be the Internet cockroach Perez Hilton who must have had his head up his ass again.

      R.I.P
I saw that coming (the tribute) thought either dancing with the stars or strictly come dancing was gonna do it and I was right!!

Who in the world was shock? He had been battling pancreatic cancer (only one of the deadliest forms of cancer there is) for 20 months.

    22. 22

Why is this such a "sudden shock"? PLEASE! He has had pancreatic cancer for two years, and put up a good fight! This type is cancer usually kills quickly, it was amazing he did so well for the past two years
