Eddie Izzard Goes The Distance

We are so proud of him!
Eddie Izzard completed an epic 1,100 mile run across Britain yesterday! It took Eddie seven weeks to complete the challenge, running at least 27 miles a day which took him from London to Liverpool, Northern Ireland, Scotland and down back to the capital.
He literally staggered across the finish line through the rain at Trafalgar Square in London and in front of reporters let out a cry saying:
"I … feel … exhausted."
We bet! And it was all for a great cause as he was running for a charity called Sport Relief.
Though while running he was accompanied by a BBC crew in a rickshaw, filming as he ran.
Tagging along were also his manager, a sports therapist and the part which was that was pretty funny, an ice cream truck following him periodically playing Chariots of Fire. It was his own version of the movie!
Congrats Eddie!

This guy is awesome. Gotta say, it would have been funnier to see him do it in drag with his killer eye liner! Eddie rocks!
Wow - that's impressive! I've always liked him. Was disappointed when his show got cancelled.
who?
No, he actually said "I feel dead".
Pathetic reporting as usual, but lets not get bogged down by facts & figures.
Eddie is superhuman!! Well done!
p.s. He ran in Wales too x
Christ.. that's like a marathon everyday! Kudos to him
You can still sponsor Eddie and raise money for Sport Relief UK which helps fight World Poverty. Eddie is a comedian, an actor, and a humanitarian! What a great guy. Check his humor on Youtube. He is funny and smart!
He ran 43 marathons in 51 days running 6 days per week with only one day off each week.
Ooh, look. Eddie's dressed like a man today.
Love this actor/comedian. He Iz amazing.
I've been watching "The Riches" on Hulu. It was an outstanding show. I wish I'd discovered it sooner.

I wish The Riches was still on! THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING SHOW EVER!!! Eddie should think about turning The Riches into a musical on Broadway. That just might be gay enough for the FABOOSH Crossdresser!

I love love love love eddie, couldn't be happier. I want to take him home and rub all the pain out of each and every muscle!
I LOVE EDDIE IZZARD! He comes in 2nd place to Tim Curry (Dr. Frank N. Furter) as 'Sexiest Transvestite'.
Loving, LOVING the ice cream truck!!! Is he not the funniest person in the world?! Great job!
That is amazing. He only trained for 5 weekd before he did this. What an accomplishment!
You forgot all about Wales! Booooooooo!
LOVE Eddie~
Going to make donation- what an accomplishment!!!!
Go Izzy!!!
He ran in Wales to mr!
again, i will repeat that you need a uk category and not an england one because he is obviously holding a scottish flag in the picture and it just makes you look poorly-educated
Re: XxSourCherryxX – i was about to say what about wales! but remember to americans it doesnt exist/is part of england……
Well done!
Northern Irelandddd
Re: Mancunian – Thanks for the insult, ho!
Re: ST-80 – someone has trouble grasping sarcasm and irony, i take it
Insane! I can't believe he did that. Good for him and his charity. He's funny and caring
LOVES Eddie! I didn't realize he was in such awesome shape! Looking good!
Re: Mancunian – Uh, where's the wit in that comment? You're such a stand-up comedian.. my sides are splitting. Oh god, stop it, stop it.. oh god, I can't take much more. LOL LOL LOL. Kill me now.
Re: ST-80 – get a life, mocking the american grasp on geography is hardly a new thing, sorry if you're 'offended' *rolls eyes*
Re: Mancunian – True story: I was once in the UK and I told this fellow who'd asked that I live on an island off the Texas coastline, two hours north of the US-Mexico border and this man had no idea that Texas has a coastline or that it shared a border with Mexico. He just didn't know, which is cool, whatev. Some people don't get their panties in a wad when others don't know all about their geographical regions. Roll them eyeballs, hun.. roll 'em!
wow… mad props to him, that's more than a marathon every day!
something actually well worth commending for once- congrats eddie, truely epic!
I'm so proud of Eddie! He is my all time favorite!!
Re: ST-80 –
I have to concur that lack of geographic/cultural knowledge is more universal than y'all want to admit. I'm from Texas, too, from one of the largest cities in the US (Houston.) While in the UK, I was asked SEVERAL TIMES with sincerity if I rode horses to school as a child.
You in the UK know a lot about your neighbors because they're your neighbors. We just happen to not have many! ;P
you know he's NOT GAY right??
so why soooo proud??
God I love Eddie. What a legend. I am in awe.
Eddie Izzard is my hero…and intelligent, principled and as funny as fuck!
