Universal Studios announced today the official opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park!
Coming in Spring 2010, you can visit the world of Harry Potter including Hogsmeade Station, Owlery, and of course, Hogwarts, which will be the new parks main attraction and is described as "much more than a roller coaster."
Look at some of the preliminary drawings and renderings of the park above.

I'd be more interested in visiting the real places, like where Hogwards was actually filmed… Not this fake balony crap they are building to steal more of your money….

the preliminary rendering could gave been made more exciting. its bland and really looks like buildings and restaurants. no sign of how the excitement will ensue

They should do it in ENGLAND!!!! And the train could take everyone there from KINGS CROSS STATION, its far more realistic…… as thats where its set anyway!!!!

This place has been in the making for 3 years, and why Disney announced at D23 Expo recently that Walt Disney World's Fantasyland is getting a huge make over. This added edition to Universal's Islands of Adventure still is looks better =)

I worked on this park and let me tell you, the dark ride is sooo amazing! Nothing that you've ever seen or been on before! This will totally be work it!

the video shows hogsmeade village… but it shows one of the shops, ollivanders wand shop from diagon alley… that shouldn't be in hogsmeade should it?

If they do it right and not make it too comercial, sure I'll go. I'm not the biggest harry potter fan, but it looks pretty awesome. I've always wanted to go to universal anyway, so it just makes sense for me to go.
Just please please please, never make a twilight theme park. God that would be dumb. Don't yell at me twihards I love Twilight, more than any other story ever, I read it all the time (Movie kinda sucked). But there would be no reason for a theme park.

No. But I don't think they're being that detailed. There's a shop called Filch's Emporium and that's not in the books. And the owlery isn't on the ground in the books. But it still looks awesome!!

They've been working on it since before 2006…I guess only the hardcore HP fans have known about it. They're just now announcing the release date. But they've been planning/designing it for years and they released polls and surveys to some the fans to come up with what shops and rides they would have. I'm so EXCITED!!!
