Whitney Remembers "Mike" Jackson
Big names and close friends like Whitney Houston certainly have fond memories of the late, great Michael Jackson.
In the second portion of her interview with Oprah yesterday, Whitney talked about her love for MJ and how she was devastated when she learned of his passing.
She revealed, "I have so many good memories of spending time with him. I've known his family for so many years that I thought, 'It can't be true.'"
Whitney had performed at his 30th-anniversary special in 2001 and at that moment in time, she recalls it was like seeing a reflection of her own life.
Adding, "I just remember doing the anniversary special and I remember looking at Michael and I remember looking at myself and I was getting scared looking at him. I was looking at myself. I don't want it to be like this. Mike and I were very close."
Whitney also admits that she knew Michael was on painkillers and that the anniversary performance was the last time she ever saw him.
She explains that they kept in touch over the phone, during the trial and such, but the he didn't want to see her, probably due to his condition.
Sad.

It seems that there is a judgemental tone when Michael Jackson is mentioned by some who claim to love him. Michael was all about love and left behond so much love and creativity. He was a man in pain. A human angel in pain. Now he soars like the angel he is.
So sad…but I'm glad Whitney had someone in her life to hear her cry for help and got her out of the hell she was in. If only MJ had someone like that we would be enjoying his comeback gigs now. RIP "Mike"
Yyyyeeeeaaaahhhhhh!!! Celebs ALWAYS claim to be so close to other people….people they haven't seen for around a decade. Give it a rest, I love the "He didn't want to see me because of my condition" line. Yeah Whitney, or you were a psycho crack whore and the ONLY reason he was spoke to you in the first place was because you were famous. When your career tanked so did his interest in having any communication with you.

Yes, Michael Jackson didn't want to see Whitney Houston because of his problems. Nonsense. Everyone needs to lay off MJ "the drug addict". There's no way you can do rehearsals and keep up with a grueling schedule while addicted to anesthetics, you'd be passed out and falling over the place, the stuff isn't crack. Obviously he needed help sleeping and Dr. Murray didn't know what the hell he was doing. Even people in MJ's life didn't notice anything that would lead them to believe he was addicted to those. I don't care what the press writes, I'll believe he took painkillers but not an addiction to anesthetic drugs.
You can do whatever on drugs @ Cuddly. Look at the addicts we see on television everyday and keeping up their schedule. Whitney and Michael were close unlike Brooke Shields who abandoned Michael nearly 20 years before he passed.
Whitney wasted the talent she used to have.
