'Nye received nine nominations for the fourth annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will air on October 27th.
Following in nods are Jay-Z and Lil Wayne with seven and T.I. earned six!
People might not be happy with Kanye, but they're happy with his music.

To end my little point I want to touch base on the claims that BET is the most racist television station ever concieved, this claim is made purely out of ignorance and the people who make those claims just come off as stupid and immature. Bet isa special interest groups television station which isn't uncommon in Canada I'm not sure about the states but in Toronto there is a network called TLN (Total Latin Network) which cators to hispanics by broadcasting exclusively in spanish there is also an asain channel that broacasts only in Chinese if I branch out to the realm of satalite there is also a punjabi network that only broadcasts punjabi programming IN PUNJABI. Now knowing this new information we can all agee that BET would be the most accesible of all these networks simply because it is broadcast in english…ah yes the pissed of racist white person would immediately jump on the most obvious choice of racial targeting but it is simply the lesser of all evils the name is blunt and to the point. BET entertainment that cators to the black community does that mean white people can't watch? Nope just means that they might not like it, the arguement most often brought up is WTV White TV I would assume and I may sound like an ignorant black person when I saw the majority of North America is of Europian descent and I might go as far as seeing that the film and television industry is also prodominantly white but hey that's racism not facts right?
The way some brought up the fact tha there are black people on CMT is true BUT I've seen Justin Timberlake and Eminem on BET. SHOCKER? No, because BET carries the genre of music that black people like and those white people are part of said genre. Well on behalf of the black community I would like to apologize to you the white man for not calling our network "RapTV" would that make you more comfortable?
All in all the entire directionof this conversation is stupid the man is not a racist just an ignorant outspoken muscian is he a role model nope, just a guy who raps good at the end of the day thats his job to rhyme good not to be a perfect gentleman GEEZE.

If I watched BET, I would not be watching Oct. 27 because of Kanye. I don't believe in seperate BET or Hispanic award shows, because I look at artist as artist and not their race. I love all genres of music from Slipknot, Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne, 50 cent, Beyonce, Britney Spears, and at one time Kanye West was on my list.

White's don't "need" WET, and black's don't "need" a BET(anymore, anyway..), people just need channels that provide different entertainment-because everyone is different and their likes could be similar or not. There's the comedy channel, the country channel, many hip-hop channels, many gospel and worship channels, and many spanish-speaking channels; they all cater to a lot different people that are different ethnicities…
