Martha Tells Simpleton To Get A New Dog
Martha Stewart, who met Jessica Simpson and her missing pooch, Daisy on the set of their Macy's commercial, has some advice for the singer.
"Get another dog. I think it's very important to get another dog, someone else to love. You just have to find the dog that's the right match for you."
Martha also lost a furry friend earlier this year when her Chow puppy, Ghengis Khan, was killed in a freak propane explosion at a kennel.
Stewart also said of Jess losing Daisy:
"It's pretty sad. She should have watched it more closely, though. She should have been more careful."
As for Jessica, she's still pulling out all the stops enlisting a dog-finding service and putting naysayers down on her Twitter:
"Still holding out hope despite the assholes that say is it a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby … why would I stop searching? I'm a mom."
We hate to say it because we do feel bad about Daisy, but if the pooch got taken by a coyote, the odds are against Jess.

Look, where I live there is a HUGE cyote problem. Just watching your dog isn't enough. People have had their dogs on a leash next to them and they grab them anyway. They are dangerous, wild cyotes. They attack people too. The only thing you can safely do is stay inside. I feel bad for Jessica. Let her look for her dog if it makes her feel better. Who is convict Martha to bash her. Hey Marthass, we know you have the prison mentality still, like if your gay lover gets shanked, just look for someone else to love at chow time, but some of us actually LOVE our animals and think of them as FAMILY. Until Daisy's body is found, there's always a glimmer of hope. For the naysayer's, I had a cat that was missing for 6 months, thought it was dead, and it just showed up at the door one day…. and I didn't just run out and get a new one after a week!!!
Dogs are like your babies, and I feel so bad for her. I lost my dog recently, and it was absolutely devastating. People who don't have dogs wouldn't understand.
Of course the odds are against Jessica, but that in no way should account for the absolute rudeness to her pain displayed by so many others. I would die if my dog were taken by a coyote.
First let me say that I am not a fan of Simpson at all…but, what she is saying is right. she is a Mom, and as a Mom whether my dog was snatched by a coyote or my kids were snatched by a killer, I would do everything possible to get them back and I would not give up hope what-so-ever… we don't know what we would do until we are put in that situation. i'm sure she is hoping maybe the dog did fight and hopefully got away. anything…..but before we judged her and make fun of her(like the way Whoopi did on the View yesterday) maybe we should show a little respect towards her and her loss.

Well its easy to say get another dog but the truth is its not the same and I don't think its that easy to just poof get another one because its not a materialistic thing. After all Jessica has had that dog ever since her marriage to Nick and I remember watching the episode of him giving it to her for her bday at her concert. So, that itself makes it more valuable to her since it had history and now its gone thanks to her stupidity of not watching her dog. Jessica can all some people assholes but she's the idiot. If she wants to call herself a mother to a bitch well I guess let it be. I feel sorry for the next accessory I mean dog in her list.
I understand being upset, when my dog died I was really upset, but you have to move on. The problem is she needs a life, get a life outside of your dog, do something with yourself.

I feel bad for her. I lost my dog a year ago and I was completely traumatized by the experience. Nevertheless, she needs to accept it and move on. I think that Martha's comments are unfair. You can do everything right and stuff just happens.
She needs to give up looking for that dog. If a coyote gets your pet, it's coz it's HUNGRY. They don't just go playing around w/domestic animals for fun. Even tho the dog could run fast, I promise that coyote is faster. It's too bad people can't carry guns in California. As a "Mom" of my beloved Boston Terrier, Toby, I can NOT imagine the pain and heart ache Jessica is going through. To suggest she just RUN OUT and get another dog, is sooo thoughtless. You dont just REPLACE a member of your family! She will need time to grieve..and maybe one day, she might decide to adopt again. God Bless You Jessica!

I beleive she lives in the hills off ValleyVIsta in Sherman Oaks. Having previously lived in this area EVERYONE knows not to let thier cat or small dog out after dark because of the coyotes and mountain lions. I think it is safe to assune she has a large backyard that sprawls down a hill. Again she is a dolt to think that it is secure from coyotes. While it is unlikly a coyote will be that bold in getting its food it is not unheard of she should have an enclosed patio and the dog should not have been allowed out of that area after dark.
Those dang hungry coyotes. Pickings are slim for them, too, what with the dryness and fires. Build a high, inaccessible fence to block complete access to the varmints.
If her yard is that large, she can build a large wire dog run with cement on the bottom so the coyotes can't chew OR dig their way in..
