Woman Impaled By Tree Survives Bizarre Accident!

This is all kinds of CRAZY!
22-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband Daniel were taking a leisurely drive in the Idaho Mountains when Michelle was impaled in the NECK with a 13-inch spruce tree branch that crashed through one of their truck windows!
She was so shell-shocked she didn't even immediately realize what had happened, asking her husband, "Where is it?"
Michelle's life was miraculously saved after a 6-hour operation at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana.
That looks SO unbelievably painful!
Luckily, Michelle is now recovering at home.

All I can say is WOW. That is unreal. She was on the Today Show this morning but I didn't stick around for the segment. I'm glad she is okay. She has quite a story to tell for the rest of her life! Unbelievable!

I'm glad to see this story. I'm from Libby, Montana and have been living in Idaho for going on 3 years now and it's nice to see stories close to my area. I remember watching this story on the new a few days ago. Its intense and super glad the girl survived!

I've seen a few of these types of things on Discovery Health and TLC. I can't imagine going through that or being one of the doctors who is treating it. She sure is lucky.
