Blink-182 has announced that $100,000 of the proceeds from their show in Phoenix, AZ, Saturday night will be donated to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia as well as the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, California.

Pay it forward!

According to the press release, the donation is "being made in recognition of their tremendous care and aid of Travis Barker through his recovery from the 2008 plane crash."

The band is hoping their generous donation will "help these burn centers continue their lifesaving work."

I have loved this band since i was 10…12 years later and they are still my favorite band. These are good people doing the right thing!

Amazeadad and all around decent human being, Travis Barker. It's so sweet how he tweets about not being able to wait until he gets a couple of days free from touring so he can be with his "little humans". He "rounds up the troops for breakfast" and he "takes them to school" on his way out for a return to touring.

Aw, I went to this show for my birthday! They really rocked it, and when they announced this, it made me love them even more. Great band altogether! : )

That's an amazing thing to do. I live not too far from where the plane crashed and it was a devistating occurance. But one thing that I don't understand is, is with all of the money that celebs/musicians earn, why couldn't they donate more than that? $100k does not go very far these days. Especially with Obama in office.

  17. 17

WOOT!!!! Just makes me love these guys even more!

Any band whose members can go naked on stage can't be all bad. A wonderful thing to do on their part!
