James Franco Gets Queer (Again)
The very smart and very sexy James Franco is attending graduate school at NYU and is supposedly enrolled in Queer Cinema, an undergrad course in the Cinema Studies department.
Here's a sample of the syllabus:
Week 1: “You Don’t Know Dick: The Courageous Hearts of Transsexual Men” (1997 documentary)
Week 2: “Mom’s Apple Pie: The Heart of the Lesbian Mothers’ Custody Movement” (2006 documentary)
Week 3: “Loads” (12 minute film from 1971)

This isn't the first time Franco has shown an interest in queer cinema. In addition to starring in Milk, he also directed his own student film at NYU last year based on gay poetry.
Apparently he put the students into quite a tizzy when he was on the department floor, but he's already missed the first class!

Yeah he was gay back in the Freaks & Geeks days. I thought he was really gay in Tristan & Ysolde, a very good film but he was clearly not that into her. He was even MORE gay in that Annapolis film, super gay in the army. And also Pineapple Express = gay. As for Milk, well that seemed like a perfect union between James Franco the actor & the character he played. And as a bonus he got to make love to Sean Penn.

I love James Franco and his seemingly increasing love for education, It's so good that even though he has his dream job he's still trying to better himself, he has his head screwed on he's so clever. He's one of my favourite actors because of this and I think he has his feet firmly on the ground!
