Then we forget to put it back on. I call this "I'm a pirate". People point it out to me all the time - I wear cool earrings, take one off to talk on the phone and then forget to put it back on. Jessica Alba seems coo and down to earth to me, most women are a bit moodier but that doesn't loose them any points. The photo thing is a mute point because these photographers are using high end cameras that can take many pictures per second, you are bound to get an unattractive picture regardless of the situation, it is more about which picture the photographers or magazine decide to release. In this case they released one that wasn't flattering.

In regards to the Latin thing, the older generation at one point was more critical about having their kids assimilate and didn't teach their kids to speak Spanish and such. I know a few relatives and friends that had that mindset, but now they see things differently. Plenty of that has to with not seeing enough positive examples out there. I think someone made her understand her role and how she is that example for other Latinos. Either way I see her as being very beautiful even with that soccer mom look now
I like women with a little more substance and rawness to them, if they are happy, happy all the time it doesn't seem genuine to me. 
I'm guessing the missing earing has something to do with her kid. My sis takes off one of her earing's when she's at a wedding or something with her little girl, so it doesn't get ripped off.
And I'm guessing her facial expression has somethig to do with her not posing for the picture, and y'know… laughing or talking about something as she goes on with her normal everyday life.
