Maksim Calls Emmy Dance "Hard"
And he's not talking about the routine!
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff may not be engaged anymore, but they are still forced to work with each other. Such was the case Sunday night at the Emmys, where the duo performed to promote the reality category.
Though some have claimed to witness blatant tension between the formally engaged couple, Maksim told reporters that he pulled off the performance for his ex-fiancee.
He said:
"Honestly the majority of what I did today was because I knew how big of a deal it was for her. She wants this. She wants to see how she can excel. Dancing at the Emmys was such an amazing spotlight. I just wanted to make sure to give it to her even if it's the last thing I do. So I wanted to do the best job I could, but it was hard."
He also admits that they are trying to "work" things out when it comes to their professional relationship, but he also doesn't care very much about how that reflects on their show, Dancing With The Stars or in public: "To me it was never about anybody else or the show. It was about us. That's what was important to me. We'll see how it goes."
Yes, we will and we're expecting a lot of full-fledged drama to go down!

they are actually handling themselves pretty well for a couple in the spotlight. Other more famous couples going through a break up should take notes.

He is such an arrogant asshole! He did it for her- RIIIIIIGHT! He is notorious for being rude and hateful to not only the people he works with on the show, but also to his dance partners that he getas paired with on the show.
He always comments on the weight of both Cheryl Burke and Lacey Scwimmer. He thinks he is gods gift to women kind, but sorry, you are nothing more than a ballroom dancer on a hugely popular show, that doesn't make him God.
She must have a golden nugget because her face is beat as hell and she keeps getting all of these hot guys.. i don't get it. And yea her nose bothers me too!

Thank you - both of you! I thought it was just me. I couldn't stop thinking about the wicked witch after looking at that nose! She's just so-so, in my opinion. Good question!! How DOES she get those hot guys?!?!? And wicked witch goes beyond what her face looks like - she always came across as rude and bitchy.
She loves the spot light and wants to be famous. At least she has talent, whereas Kate G. is famous for what again?
