The terrible demo, lame second single AND the lipsynching - we're not surprised!
After her single She Wolf failed to reach the Top 10 on the U.S. singles chart, Shakira's new album has been pushed back a month - to November - while her label tries to garner interest with a different single.
There may be a She Wolf in your closet, but is there a hit?!
Sad. We love us some Shaki but the English CD seems like a stinker! Hopefully the Spanish-language album she's releasing next year will be better!
Update: Sources tell us that, "The album is being moved back a few weeks in order for her to finish up some amazing new tracks shes been putting the finishing touches on."
The label and Shakira are aware that songs have leaked "So she wanted to add these amazing ones shes been working on. They are HOT!"

Shakira's english is HORRIBLE!! Her english albums are insanely bad and the fact that she's pushed away so far from her roots leaves her spanish-album fans alienated. Her last spanish album was wonderful but I don't know why she even bothers with the terrible english versions. Come on, Shakira…Stop with the peroxide and the blue contacts and be who you were before.
She has and will always be a novelty act in the US, she was part of that Latin wave along with Ricky Martin and the novelty has worn off sorry Shakira, your moves, nasal vocals and good looks can only take you so far. wah wah wah.

Sucks, I always got good vibes from her. I was listening to "Oral Faccion" hmmm, 2 yrs ago? She may not have the BEST voice but it's unique, I dig it, I liked the album.

What the fuck is "Oral Faccion" LOL Fijacion Oral Vol 1 was an amazing album. Oral Fixation Vol. 2 was good but certainly no where as brilliant as Vol. 1.
I am actually thrilled to see her do more "dance" although I was not aware this was only going to be in the english version. I though the spanish album was going to be in the same vein (and no doubt much much better).
Her voice is unique and special and I am not sure why she's lip synching since in the past she's always insisted on live singing only.
For all the haters here saying she never sings live…you can suck it cause obviously you've never followed her career.
I think I'm probably the only person on the planet who likes her new song.

Well…as soon as she started in the US market she colored her hair blonde. You could tell that she was already starting to loose her native "thing". I know her waay before the english albums and I used to love her. Now, i think she is just a generic blonde making music.

um, do u know the meaning of a one hit wonder. obviously not. a one hit wonder has one hit, that's it. shakira has had 4 top ten hits in america. and regardless of what people think, she wolf is a hit. it's at number eleven. why do you think they have top 40 radio, because anything that makes it into top 40 territory is a hit. it's only when you make it to top ten that it's a really huge hit.

She is most definitely an artist and her music does loose some emotion when transferring to English.
