The new season of Dancing with the Stars premiered last night and although it was first place for its time slot, the show was down 19 percent from last year's premiere!
Hey ABC, sounds like you might need to recruit some bigger names for next season than say…Aaron Carter and Tom DeLay?

yes, but my boyfriend kept changing it to football. the little that i did watch was entertaining…no one really to root for on this season, though
aaron carter is a nobody! i kno there desperate for "celebrities" but this kid is pathetic…and he looks like shit! He is too young to have aged that much
Ha … I already decided I was not going to watch just because of the douche Tom Delay…so I did not watch and apparently others felt the same. Besides the show this year should have been called "Dancing with WHO???? and we all could just guess who the STAR is suppose to be.

I watched it last night. Dancing with the Stars is one of my favorite shows of all time!!! And I looooove Aaron Carter. All of my girlfriends love him. I'm stoked that he's on the show. As well as chuck,mya, and even macy gray..

The premise is getting old. It happens to all reality shows.
I vowed never to watch again because abc clearly has an agenda, last season they totally put that ugly rabbit looking girl on from the bachelor, she couldnt compete but they still let her use old footage and ousted lil kim the only person I really wanted to watch. now abc has that bachelor girl on everything from gma and I am sick of their tomfoolery over at the mouse house. I wont ever watch again.

This show is unbelievably cheesy. I don't understand how people can watch it season after season. Same dances every season, just new D-list people.

nope, I have given up on this show. If I don't recognize the names right off, I don't watch. I only recognize a few names this year, and of those I recognize there isn't a single person I am interested in watching. I mean, Aaron Carter? Come on. And who the hell is Tom DeLay? Get some bigger names, then maybe people will be more interested. Plus, with all the injuries - I'm so not interested.
Kind of agree, lack of big names. I like that there are some people I dont know, like the snowboarder who was an absolute cutie but otherwise, its like a bad zlist celebrity dance off.

I AGREE!!!! it was 1st in its time slot cause there wasn't anything else on. I watched something I've never watched before just not to watch dancing with the stars. I have been a faithfull viewer since the show started, but had no interest this year. they didn't have anyone of interest on this yr….boring!!!! and Karina makes me sick, that girl is so in love with her self! But no I have no plans on watching this year.
Nope! I recorded Heroes and One Tree Hill/Gossip Girl. That's more entertaining for me than a bunch of nobody's attempting to dance!

Yes, I did happen to watch. Only because there was nothing else on, but I enjoyed it. Aaron wasn't all that bad, I think he could be really good on the show. I thought Donny Osmond was amazing too. I'll have to watch tonight to see how the girls do

I watched off and on, Aaron Carter is the best non-dancer dancer, celebrity or not. Samantha Harris gets on my nerves so bad though I don't see myself watching it any more. She's just sickening.

Delay was GREAT. I laughed my a– off. He even had some good moves. Cheryl can train ANYONE!!! It is still a FUN show to watch. I loved it. Laughing is healthy, Perez.

I think Aaron got WAYYY too many points! He is so obnoxious and acts like he's on cocaine! That show is ALL "hasbeens" or "nobodies" that no one really cares about! Jermaine Jackson was in the audience with Marie Osmond to support DONNIE! The Osmonds and Jacksons go way back together! Jermaine's first…was probably MARIE………then again maybe it was DONNIE!
I use to watch all the time…but this season and last season became Dancing with Losers. Going down hill fast

I thought Aaron Carter was one of the best, and I'm too old to even know who he is. The martial arts guy and the snow boarder were the best; but, yeah… DWTS needs some actual stars! Ashley Hamilton? Who the fuck? Son of a D-lister? This makes him a star? The only one I really knew and who is a star (albeit a hasbeen star) in my world is Donny Osmond, and the Osmonds make my skin crawl.
I really like DWTS, -I can understand having a FEW niche contestants, like I know a lot of people like wrestling so I can see having the wrestling dude there even if I don't watch wrestling, but it would be better if all or almost all the contestants were people the majority of audience members actually know and might care about.
Yeah and I actually liked it- but I never watch live because I like to fast-forward all the BS between the actual dances. It's entertaining but not worth 2 hours of my night! GO MICHAEL IRVIN. I was uncomfortable looking at Tom DeLay, especially in those brown spandex pants.
I think Aaron did a great job! Its good to see him back around. Go Aaron!
P.S. Is Aaron Carter straight? I think he claims to be, but I am TOTALLY unconvinced. His recent appearance on Chelsey Lately and then this performance were quite feminine.

I watched it specifically for Aaron Carter lol he's a cutie, and I know a lot of people who tuned in especially for him–So speak for yourself Perez. I've met the Carter's many times because my family has a house in their hometown in Florida that we go to for summers, and the whole family is so sweet.

Only reason I watched that show last night was to see if Nick Carter and the Boys showed up–I was NOT disappointed!! Nick's looking good, I mean REALLY good! Nick–stay off this show and keep doing what you're doing!!

There just arent as many people you want to root for this year like Melissa, Shawn, and Gilles. There are just so so people. I watch this show every season, and I probably still watch… but it was a lot easier to switch over to Gossip Girl … Where is the hunk like Gilles?

I happened to like the show last night. A little over acting by Donny & Tom DeLay but it was still good. All the people may not be big names but they are or were stars. They may not have been movie or TV stars, but they are sports stars, political stars. Guess if you don't like it, you don't watch. That's the beauty of having so many TV channels.

Did not watch and will not watch. Fewer "celebrities" each season and now none at all. Tom DeLay, puhleeze. I am insulted. (I thought they sent him to jail.) Shawn Johnson was a nice kid, but the show last season was boring (except for Jewel's cowboy and Steve Wozniak who gave some comic relief) and what a surprise (not!) that a youngster gymnist won it. And the one before that who was going to give the mirror ball to her girls to hang in their bedroom. I'd rather poke sticks in my eyes than watch that crap. (And I LOVE to dance.) I'd rather see those little kids dance each week than the lugs.

I watched both nights. I thought it was entertaining. Surprisingly the best dancer was Kelly Osbourne. She was awesome. She's got natural talent for dance. She danced beautifully! Ozzie and Sharon were there. Ozzie was so proud of Kelly and Sharon was crying and speechless!!
