She only releases new music a couple of times a decade, so this is very special!
One of our all-time faves, Sarah McLachlan, has written and recorded the theme song to the 2010 Winter Olympics in her Vancouver.
The tune is called One Dream and it is typical Sarah. Lush vocals, lush instrumentation, lush lyrics.
Love it!
The song will be used in all of NBC's promos for the games.

P.S. Sarah is said to be releasing an album of new material next year, but we'll believe it when we see it!

As a 13-resident of STUNNING Vancouver, BC, I am psyched for the Games to begin! Vancouver is an incredibly beautiful city, with great people, and deserves to be showcased to the rest of the world! Despite my left-wing political views, to local naysayers opposed to the Games, I say, "Move-on to your next 'social injustice'. The Games will bring people to our city, tourism to the incredible& geographically diverse province of British Columbia, and it's influence will positively effect B.C. for many years to come. If they thought that Expo `86 made it's mark … just wait until the 2010 Games!

Sarah is one of the crown jewels of Vancouver BC!! Her albums are worth the wait… she may take her time but believe me, they are works of art.

I can't figure out why Perez does not promote or even mention Cuban artist, its very rare. Cuba produces some of the best music anywhere.

I love Sarah McLachlan! I'm happy that she, not Celine Dion, was given a chance to create music once again even if it is for the 2010 Olympics! Atleast it is something fresh and not an old song! This will give her world class status for sure! Way to go Sarah!
