    it was a nice tribute. I thought it showed us how talented Swayze actually was, since the dancers just looked like they were trying so hard to copy his style. I found a tear streaming down my face at the very end, not from their performance, but from losing such a great person who shaped many wonderful memories of my life.

    Only the guy at the end came close to being as good as Patrick Swayze was. You just can't fake his charisma. In the end, no one can do it better. There was just something about him that I adored. He was sexy, talented, a true Texas boy and devoted to his wife. They don't make them like that anymore.

    You know you are really successful when you have a career in Hollywood and when you pass away, everyone and I mean everyone talks about what a gentleman you are and what a class act. He must have been something really special. His wife was sure lucky. The dancing was great but I wish they would have used the version of him singing "She's Like the Wind". Rest in peace Patrick.

    I know the show pays less money for songs by getting the rights to do their own cheaper version with their singers…but for a tribute to swayze…and considering it is the one and only hit song he had….shes like the wind…could they not have his actual song and singing for the dance?
    that would be a tribute….this…?….was just using him.

    I don't know the male dancer's name, but I could see he couldn't pick Cheryl up as high as Patrick did with Jennifer….LMAO Overall a good performance. RIP Patrick Swayze. You were so loved.

    Tear's are streaming down.. I am so sad that he lost his battle.. I was really hoping he pull thru.. This was a nice tribute to him and what he has done for the Art of Dance.. No one can replace him he was VERY talanted.. If i see Dirty Dancing on TV I stop and watch it everytime.. I love "NO ONE PUT's BABY in the CORNER"… NO ONE PUT's Patrick in the CORNER….SWAYZE FOREVER

    I thought they did a good job, but obviously they're no replacement for Patrick…Nobody said they were, it was a tribute people!! It definitely made me cry a little! RIP Patrick!

    Not bad, the idea was touching. I think they should have actually played Patricks version of "She's Like the Wind"..those singers were TERRIBLE! Especially when they sang "Time of my Life"…I cringed! They should not have had Cheryl Burke doing "Babys" part, #1 - she's too heavy for the guy to lift (both with the twirling and the lift at the end) and #2 - she's a terrible "actor" trying to be identical to the movie. They should have had Karina and Maxim do it, at least they were a real life couple and Karina is WAY smaller than that pig Cheryl. Dancing was a C, music was a huge F. Should have played the original tracks.

    Hard to hold back tears. I remember being obsessed with this scene from the movie when I was a little girl.

    This was a perfect tribute! I had goosebumps on my arms, tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat! I still can't believe that he's gone. I think that the dancers did a fantastic job!

    Professional dancers should be able to do an angel lift without problem. She wasn't even over his head. She's too heavy for him, he's too weak, or she doesn't know how to support herself correctly in lifts. Either way, get to the gym people if you are going to call yourself professional dancers. My dance partner and I from Highschool could have done better. That's pretty pathetic cause I don't consider myself an uhmazing dancer. Patrick was uhmazing…this was just an amateur performance.

    the 'time of your life' is one of THE BEST DANCE SEQUENCES IN MOVIE HISTORY!!!
    it makes me smile everytime. every single time. :-)
    it's up there with…
    'your the one that i want' from 'grease',
    'america' from 'west side story', and
    'what a feeling' from flashdance!

    While the intent was lovely….anyone who grew up watching Dirty Dancing would have something to say.
    Sorry but it was piss poor for pros! I suggest looking at the DWTS and the original available on youtube side by side and then comment.
    It was offensive to people that knew this movie back to front and all the dance moves growing up….pro or not, the passion was not there in the least and it was painful to watch.

    They didit better on Strictly Come Dancing. Kenny Logan did the real lift, and he was one of the celebrities, not a fully trained dancer.

    To be honest, that 'tribute' on DWTS wasn't much of a tribute, more like dancing on his grave
