Cage Drops Out Of Green Hornet, Better For The Film!

nicnicwenn2576494.jpg

Last time we checked, Nicolas Cage was raffling selling off his houses to make ends meet and hasn't been in a decent flick since Leaving Las Vegas.

So where the hell does he get off turning down paying work?

From what we hear, Nic Cage and his snooty attitude told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival that he dropped out of The Green Hornet flick because his character lacked "humanity." His character was Green Hornet's nemesis, Chudnofsky - a villain!

Villains don't have humanity! That's what makes them a villain, you dope!

Apparently, Nic "wasn't interested in just being just a straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly." But he was willing to play the part of Ghost Rider?

You are confusing us, Nic Cage! We can't seem to figure you out!

Seth Rogen must be having a good laugh about this!

wait, so you're comparing ghost rider to chudnofsky? uhhh the ghost rider was the good guy in the comic and movie. he didn't go around killing people.

you really need to stop talking about things that make you sound like an idiot. like comic book movies and sports.

    7. 7

perez, you're such an illiterate! all the best villains have cracks in their armor that reveal their humanity - that's what makes the best ones the most interesting, and the most villainous.

    8. 8

Adaptation., Face/Off, 8mm, Matchstick Men, Bringing Out The Dead, The Weather Man, Lord of War. Pretty great films since Leaving Las Vegas, no?

Why not like Frank Gorshin did as The Riddler?

BigDaddyMagnum says, "So Nicolas Cage "hasn't been in a decent flick since Leaving Las Vegas"? Really? Wow, Will.I.Am must've killed some serious brain cells with that punch to your face."

Can't even PRETEND to disagree with you… for once.
      Cage= EPIC FAIL @ Life.

      Re: perezisavindictivebitch

I'm guessing he's referring to the fact that Ghost Rider (the movie) was a frickin joke, and that Cage played the character with LESS substance than a cardboard cutout, not directly comparing the roles.

    23. 23

I am sure Nick Cage isn't worrying about what a fat little tyroll like you thinks of him. He is wiping his ass with 100 dollar bills while you are pathetically writing hate filled [osts on a blog, where the majority of posters come just to tell you how ugly, fat and stupid you are. I assure you Nick will be around long after the world has forgotten about your stupid jealous ass!

    24. 24

He's made at least 2 great films since Leaving Las Vegas, and even though he's picked a lot of shit roles recently he's still an amazing actor. Ghost Rider was an anti-hero, not a villain, dumbass.

…and yeah i'm sure Seth Rogen is killing himself laughing that the biggest star in his film has left, hilaaaarious.

Maybe it's because he just agreed to do Ghost Rider 2? Which I have to say is a terrible idea. The first movie was bad.

    26. 26

HE ANNOUNCED THIS ABOUT A WEEK AGO

    27. 27

      wttf?? you're a actor, you got a part…. DEAL.

    28. 28

I so used to have the hots for Nic Cage, but he's turned into a pompous, arrogant ass who makes really crappy films. He's not even good looking to me anymore. He looks like he doesn't even care. The Family Man was the last good movie he made (9 years ago and I'm being generous with that assessment).

    29. 29

You are so fuckin' retarded. Cage has been in some awesome movies since Leaving Las Vegas, he even got an Academy Award nomination for Adaptation. which he deserved btw. He has been in some crappy movies, I don't deny, but he has had a fuckin awesome movie for every terrible one.

    30. 30

I like Nic Cage as an Actor. He's good but the things is that Seth Rogen is the star in this movie and I guess Nic realized that he'd rather work with someone who does serious acting than you know just being stupid and funny and calling it acting. I have no problem with Seth Rogen but what qualifies him as an Actor? He's is no actor.

    31. 31

Uh.. ghostrider was the GOOD guy!

    32. 32

nick cage came to my small town a few years ago with his snippy attitude. (crestline, ca). He had dinner at the royal oak and there ran into Frankie Avalon (i was told) and complained about all the fog and how he was having to wait for his call times…. Frankie told him… at least you have job! Boom… no sympathy for you mr. cage… i live here FULL time and brave the fog! The movie sucked A**… i guess karma is his b*tch!

(Frankie was having dinner with a local who divulged this info btw)

    34. 34

he will say anything to divert from the truth he was DROPPED from the movie,
because he thinks he is THE STAR. In his own mind….

The FANS are ecstatic he is GONE!

    35. 35

I thought the first "National Treasure" was great. It hardly had any cursing, which was refreshing!

    36. 36

I liked Ghost Rider. I liked Bangkok Dangerous too, I put a review of it into print locally where I said a few things about the film that I wish I could take back now, but I would like Nicolas Cage to be successful and I have faith in the career decisions I see him make. It's probably an intelligent move to pass on Green Hornet and I'm sure whatever project Nicholas Cage settles on next will be the right move given that Cage's work is good and he's clever.

    37. 37

The only 3 movies that I liked with him in it were Leaving Las Vegas, Face Off & Raising Arizona. Everything else sucked! The older he gets, the weirder he looks. Check out that hairline! Nasty!

    38. 38

Re: DANNYGLOVERSDICKBLOOD – Face Off was a great movie - no one else could have played Castor Troy any better!

Nick Coppala sucks ass….his uncle was far more productive…and didn't require a NAME CHANGE!

    41. 41

who is nic cage and why should we care about him?
      Man it's not 1989 anymore.
but somehow I will blame stephen harper for the end of this man's careeer
