Julia Roberts Needs Protection - 350 Of Them!

Julia Roberts is currently filming Eat, Pray, Love in Pataudi, India, and the residents are none too happy with her supposed behavior.
Apparently, Roberts has 350 security guards protecting her and the filming, preventing villagers from entering their Hindu temple where the movie is being shot during "the holiest time of the year."
In addition to the security guards, Julia also has a bulletproof car to transport herself and her 3 children.
Diva!
But in all honesty, it's probably the film itself hiring all of the security and not Julia personally.
That's Hollywood for ya, India!

"Eat Pray Love" was a terrible book, typical bored, privileged caucasian lady explores exotic cultures and gets paid to write about her 'lifechanging experience' (you know, because an American backpacking around the world, including a developing country, is sooo unique!) It's so ironic that the filming of this particular movie is disrupting their holy day. If you're going to make a movie about white people patronizing the East, at least show some respect.

Julia Roberts is a notorious bitch - especially here in metro Atlanta where she's from. But the country has caught on to her attitude too. Ask a radio or t.v. personality who their worst interview was (meaning who was the most unfriendly), and most will say Julia Roberts. She is just downright miserable.

i've been t india and wished i'd had security! the country's government is so corrupt in how it uses the hindu religion as an excuse to leave people in squalor ( they are 'untouchables' ) and makes the people desperate!!! there are one billion more people in india than in the u.s., so the people are badly behaved…they act like ravenous animals! i don't blame them, considering the conditions they live in. it is totally common for someone to pickpocket a tourist then head straight to pray in a temple, but the theivery is acceptable there. and 350 people is a reasonable number of security considering how many outta control indians can be in any given place.

The way you portray the country would make someone never want to go there! It's disgusting that you're comparing the people to animals. I wasn't the victim of robbery, and I felt completely safe the entire time I was there. Yes, there are many pick-pocketers, but what city doesn't have them? I felt far more unsafe when I was in Manhattan and Berlin.
