Holy shiz!!!
An Indonesian woman gave birth to a 19.2 lb baby boy yesterday! That's the heaviest newborn ever birthed in Indonesia!
Thankfully for her lady bits, he was delivered by C-Section . She named him Muhammad Akbar Risuddin (Akbar means "big" in Indonesian. Talk about your understatements.)
Congrats to the proud momma. She should rest assured that no one in that nursey is going to mess with that kid.
And good luck carrying him around for the next year or so. It's going to be some workout!

Some people are idiots. If you don't understand something look it up. The child is large due to gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes is a common problem in pregnant women. It is caused by hormones produced in the placenta that causes issues with the woman's insulin. The more the placenta develops, the more hormone created. Therefore the later in the pregnancy, the more likely the symptoms will occur. This is why women are tested for gestational diabetes later in their pregnancy. Usually late second trimester/early third trimester. I had diabetes for my last baby and I was only 132 lbs at 5'1 when I gave birth to my son. We controlled it with a strict very low carb diet. KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!
i have never had kids (yet) but this hurts just to think about it. So she had a c-section, IMAGING CARRYING THAT BOY FOR 9 MONTHS!!!

I say shut your mouth! What would you know?! I'm not obese or a massive eater and I had diabetes during both of my pregnancies, gestational diabetes. Do a little research on diabetes and you'll find out that having diabetes is not always a direct result of being overweight, it is also hereditary and some doctors even think it is genetic. Many people have Type 1 diabetes which is also known as juvenile diabetes and most of them are skinny…just look at Carol Burnett and Nick Jonas, they have Type 1 diabetes, they were born with it. Type 2 diabetes can result from being overweight but it is not directly linked to it. And gestational diabetes (also known as pregnancy related diabetes) develops when a mothers own hormones work against her to ineffectively reduce the sugar in her body. The gestational diabetes goes away shortly after the baby is delivered. So before you try to voice your opinion, know the facts you nimrod! If you would like to learn more about diabetes go to www.WebMD.com or just google diabetes! I loathe people like you who think they know everything, but in fact, you know nothing!! Now go get some education.

So you think that just because she did not squeeze this kid out, that means she did not give birth? That is just about the dumbest piece of shit I have ever read.
My pelvis is so wide this kid could have swam in it, but the opening is so small I couldn't even squeeze out a rat like your mother did. But was I pregnant for 9 months: YES! Did I go through labor: 17 hours. And then what? I am supposed to DIE to give birth after pushing for 3 hours. NO DUMB FUCK! C-section is what has saved many women's lives as opposed to the 1800s and further back where women DIED giving birth.
We are ALL built differently and yet I created life. The kid had to get out SOMEHOW and who the fuck are you to make dumb ass BITCH ass statements like that?
I have heard the same from women thinking they are heroes because their cooches are the size of your fat head, but ultimately, we all just want a happy healthy kid and a mother who can heal and breastfeed and raise a great kid.

Re: EmpressCindy – I couldn't agree more. Guitar man, I'll give you a pass since you're male, but, "giving birth" is not synonymous with "vaginal birth". I really hate it when people refer to vaginal births as "natural" as opposed to C-sections being "unnatural". Giving birth means conceiving a child and carrying that child for 9 months. Doesn't matter how said child came into the world.

OMG, big time! I've had 3 & they were all in the 7 lb. range. I couldn't imagine her stretch marks! God bless her for carring that baby to full-term. She has my respect!

Re: I cant stand them – You are a dipshit, a 6 month old baby DOES NOT weigh 10 lbs. iIf a SIX month old weighed ONLY 10 lbs, it would be underweight. My 6.5 month old weighs 14 lbs, and she's small for her age. The average weight of a newborn is 7-8 lbs. That being said, gaining only 2-3 lbs in 6 months is not normal.
My daughter was 7 lbs on the dot when she was born and is now 14, and she is also very short as well. She was in preemie at birth, and I was in newborn around 10 lbs..If a 6 month old can wear newborn (which my daughter can do) then they are pretty small.

Re: Orangina – i absolutely agree with you that "giving birth" does not mean a vaginal birth. every woman who carries a child gives birth to that child in whatever form as she gives that child life, or has given that child life in whatever form. however, when i think of the term "natural" childbirth, i consider that a term for those who gave birth as human beings have for hundreds of thousands of years….without the assistance of medication or surgical intervention…this does not mean a system of some who are better mothers because….or some who are worse mothers because….it is simply a term for the way a child has come into being…some of us are fortunate enough to have healthy pregnancies which result in healthy babies…but those who arent should never be made to feel as though they are less than….some people find such terms insulting, but i would urge them to look beyond terminology and focus on what matters in their lives…if you have a baby to hold, be thankful…..if you have lost one, know that you are stronger & so much more enriched by their presence in your life.
