Mischa Barton better get ready to start pounding the pavement looking for work. Her new show, The Beautiful Life: TBL (That stands for "To Be Laid-Off"), is TANKING in the ratings.
It's like the show isn't even on the air!
The show scored an astonishingly awful 0.6 rating with adults 18-49, with only 1.4 million viewers overall!
Weak!
The night belonged to ABC, with its new premiere comedies Modern Family and Cougar Town, as well as Dancing With The Stars. Despite the heavy competition over at the Mouse network, the growing phenomenon know as Glee held its own with 6.6 million viewers, even beating out the premiere episode of NBC's Law and Order:SVU in the 18-49 ratings. (It still had more overall viewers, though. Old people love their SVU.)

it's a boring show…..came on after ANTM, watched 10 mins of it and turned it off. it's like bland pasta salad…..

There's nothing pulling me in to watch this show. I've dvr'ed the series on my DirectTV, but I'm still waiting for something great to happen?…So a model has a baby and she doesn't want anyone to know? Her character is BORING! None of the cast look like actual models…

You know what pisses me off is that I LOVE Sara Paxton (the blonde) and Corbin, but the show is so awful. I watch it hoping it'll get better but it just isn't. The storyline should have been written better. And Sara Paxton's a great actress, but they don't use her potential at all.

I dont think we need another show like this. WE have Gossip Girl , 90210, Melrose place and Im sure there are others. I have no desire to watch this.
They should have left in the scenes of her with the goat.

It's not a credible life to follow, even if it follows top model. It's not an awful show, just not one many have interest in. Soaps are a dying breed. Serials are for that matter. I am curious if Melrose will change in ratings when Heather comes back, also curious if Flash Forward will do Lost numbers this evening. I think the shows would also all do better with more adult fare on a cable network!!!

It's lame. I watched it last week and it was so cheesy. I watched SVU this week (I'm not old) and DVRed Glee.

I don't hate this show. I think Mischa Barton may be mis-cast, but I like the rest of the cast.

i watched it, and i was kinda interested. i would've liked it so much better if mushy wasnt there though! she's annoying. and its not even the character thats annoying to me– its her horrid acting! the rest of the cast i love. i've been watching n' i hope it gets better ratings. but mushy just brings the show down for me :/

If Mischa gets on your nerves it's because she's not 22 anymore, she's older and she's playing this bitch with a huge ego. Which could they atleast make her look good? It can't be that hard. Whoever wrote the script for this show should be fired. Their lines are pretty stale and yes very predictable. The scene where Mischa was overdramatic and freaked out? That was just retarded and not fitting. Ashton Kuctcher is the producer/ director of this show and obviously he's an amature. To be honest Mischa is the only one who seems to have substance. Everyone else looks like they got handpicked right off of the streets of New York. The dark skin guy can't act the head male dorm guy isn't believable at all to me. The guy that was busted for drugs? Wasn't slick enough and was lacking character. Even the main guy opposite Raina kind of sucks, he's so average. Despite all that though, I did still like it, even though they could use a better cast. And Mischa is a great actress, seriously download the OC. Great great show! If this show fails it's because Ashton shouldn't be directing/producing and stick to acting.
i watched glee instead of SVU last night, not again, i'll catch glee in reruns, need to get my SVU (chris meloni) fix, every week

they need to change the time of the show, its up against shows that it cant even compare to, I think then it would do better…. and that Benjamin Hollingsworth is so HOT! lol

Who on earth makes a show that is just a copy of other shows? In these times shows of beauty, money and luck will tank sooner or later. I wonder when the execs will realize some people want to see the ugly, poor and unlucky to make their way into life… to see some have it worse and still make it big. Yeah, Im the one waiting for that show to come.
The concept of the show is quite interesting. Guess it could have done well with a different cast.

I like this show, it's not super great compared to melrse, or 90210, but I believe it holds it own. So what if the cast doesn't look like models, what does that have to do with it. It isn"t reality tv like ANTM. I think sarah paxton does a good job, and i think micha's character is underplayed. I've had so far 3 of my favorite shows that have been cancelled over the past 3 years and it pisses me off. Threshhold, melorse possible according to the ratings, true calling. My god people. I think they don"t watch it because the title might appear offenseive. well sorry to disappoint dearies, but sometime mommy and daddy's genes aren"t good enough to make you model material. I mean most people are between average, and slightly above average. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as well. Get over it and watch the show based off of the acting and plot style. PPl that commented and said they watched 5-10 minutes of it. Bitch please, that is not enough time to make a realistic opinion of a show. Maybe 10 minutes, but hell no not 5 minutes. Stop hating.
