Another Of Mackenzie's Sisters Speaks Out, Slams Her - Hard!
This can't be easy for Mackenzie Phillips.
After revealing on Oprah Winfrey's show (and in her new book) that she had a 10 year incestuous sexual relationship with her father, the late John Phillips, the reaction has been mixed.
Mackenzie's half-sister Chynna Phillips spoke out about the situation and claims she was told about the incident years ago and believes her sister.
But stepmom Genevieve Waite is speaking out and calling Mackenzie a liar. As is her other former stepmom, Michelle Phillips, who also doubts the claims.
And now Mackenzie's other half sister, actress Bijou Phillips, claims she also knew about the relationship - but she doubts it ever actually happened
The 29-year-old Bijou released a statement revealing:
“When I was 13, Mackenzie told me that she had a consensual sexual relationship with our father. This news was confusing and scary, as I lived alone with my father since I was 3, I didn’t know what to believe and it didn’t help that shortly there after Mackenzie told me it didn’t happen. Mackenzie’s history with our father is hers, but also clouded with 30 years of drug abuse. I hope she can come to terms with this and find peace.
The life I had with my father was very different. He was Mr. mom, encouraging and loving. The man that raised me would never be capable of doing such things, and if he was, it is heartbreaking to me to think that my family would leave me alone with him. I understand Mackenzie’s need to come clean with a history she feels will help others, but its devastating to have the world watch as we try and mend broken fences, especially when the man in question isn’t here to defend himself.”
We have two questions. If two of Mackenzie's half-sisters new about the allegation, why didn't they confront their father or speak out about it?
But more importantly, why did Mackenzie's incestuous relationship with her dad continue? After the first time, wouldn't she have stopped it right away?

Her timeline is always off, she said it happened during the new Mamas and Papas, That was in the 80's. Then she said when he Had Bijou he was a changed Man, Bijou was born in 1980. She also said, he said to her, let's run off together and raise Shane and Bijou, Hum, I thought when he had Bijou he was a changed man. Chynna is saying that she believes her, because who could lie, ah, maybe someone who want's to sell a lot of books to pay off her insane Debt. These girls are gross, Chynna is only up there to sell her record. Obviously these girls have issues with a father that was never there when they where kids. Bijou is the only one who actually knew him, who actually lived with him.
Oh, also she said it happened the night before her wedding the first time, but does not recall if she was 17 or 18. I think you would know how old you are, and the date of the night before you're wedding, don't you??? I think this is a lie Mackenzie told for attention from her father and her family, a family as chynna said that was not very close. That's why she then told them all she was not telling the truth, her father must have flipped out on her. But now that he is dead and cannot defend him self she is going for it, and Chynna is supporting her cause she want's a spot on Oprah's couch to promote her record. These girls are sick, they are just doing this for record and book sales, and Oprahs is doing this for ratings. GROSS…. Good, I'm glad Bijou is not talking to her sister's, she has more sense then I thought… Maybe it's cause her Dad raised her!
Perez I am shocked that you would blame the victim. A child (no matter how old) should NEVER have to stop their father from raping them. You assume that she had the power. She did not. Her father did. I don't care how drugged he was, HE is the perpetrator, HE is the one who should have stopped it.

Bijou said that right afterward, Mackenzie told her that it wasn't true. The same thing happened with the step-mother. Mackenzie said it did, then said it didn't. Maybe that's why they never confronted their father about it?
And it doesn't make sense Perez, why are you questioning the fact that Mackenzie never put a stop to it? You even reported that it happened and she continued with it, she knew what she was doing was wrong but she kept at it. She was a sick girl, addicted to drugs that made her do things she shouldn't have.
John Phillips sounds like he was a sociopath. I think it was brave of McKenzie to come out on this. It is not uncommon for sexually exploited children to recant when they see the reactions of the family. Unfortunately it is too late and the family usually does marginalize them in the end. It is easier to believe that the accusation has no validity because then they can maintain the family for the most part. Victimizing the victim all over again. Very common. A sociopath isn't stupid enough to sexually interfere with all of the children because he wants the majority of the family to stand by him if and when the accusation surfaces. He is hedging his bet.

Something that seems obvious to me is that maybe the reason she did/does all the drugs is to dull the pain caused by this obviously traumatic situation.

Absolutely Perez, we should be asking why these girls didn't do anything! I mean, when a young, thirteen-year-old Mackenzie was being sexually, psychologically and physically abused by her father, she should have stuck up for herself! You have definitely brought intelligence and depth to this issue … we have to start asking why young, powerless and vulnerable children are not doing more to help their situation! Clearly it is all her own fault for being abused by the people who are supposed to protect her, because she did not do anything to end the abuse. Clearly the thirteen-year-old Mackenzie should have been the adult in this situation … I mean, there were so many options for her! Like, running away from home to live on the streets! Or maybe living in foster care for the rest of her life? Yes, she definitely had options and she chose not to take them, and we should definitely be asking WHY. We need to ask WHY, people!

Why did she have a needle in her arm for 35 years. I still can see her old show on cable. She was a decent actress and I also remember the movie American Grifftie! She was the youngest cast member I think 13 at the time.

I think it is horrible that MacKenzie is gettin so much backlash from her dad's ex wives. This is exactly the reason that rape and molestation victims do not speak out. Because no one wants to believe it. What a shame.

Maybe the drugs kept Mackenzie screwed - up in the head all the time is why it continued. What I don't understand is why she had sex with her dad after she was married not to mention that she had sex with him repeatedly. This woman needs very much extended therapy for probably the rest of her life. I think the woman worshiped her dad to begin with. It was even harder to except that she knew this was wrong. Why did this man pick her and then stopped and didn't try something with one of his other daughters? Could it be becausse she didn't have a mother around to protect her? Where was her mom does anyone know much about her I haven't heard her talk about her? Do we know for a fact that she is his bio daughter? Maybe she should have DNA to see for sure that she was his real daughter stranger sh** has happened, especially back in the 60's?
