Hugh Hefner Biopic Being Written By Diablo Cody?

Diablo Cody is an Oscar-winning screenwriter, with a background fairly suitable to handle such a project as the Hugh Hefner biopic.
But is she really doing it?
All we know, thanks to a little Tweet directly from Hef himself, is that he took a meeting with Diablo to discuss the "the Brian Grazer Playboy film".
The film he is referring to is the buzzed about biopic that has everyone from Leonardo DiCaprio to Robert Downey Jr. being pegged to play the master Playboy himself. Nothing solid has been said about the flick since 2007, when another writer was pegged to write the script. Two years is a long time and a lot has changed. Maybe Hef is looking for a quirky, female take on his life.
Wouldn't that be interesting?!
Neither Diablo or Hef brought up the meeting again on their Twitters, so we're still unsure what the meeting was about, but we really hope it is some good news for Diablo.

I like this. Hefner is a classy figure in his kingdom of fleshy beauty. Cody is a talented and entertaining scribe, I'd rent it.
Didn't she direct that flop called jenniffer's body? If I were Hugh I wouldn't let her anywhere near my biopic.
I love Juno, but I think she just thinks she is hot shit, she isn't, she won an oscar, yeah a big deal, but people keep their dignity in tact when they do so, she thinks she can write anything, it's kind of annoying..
I just hope she can retain integrity with writing the bio-epic, and not have to agree to restrictions.

I think she's a great writer and all but it drives me nuts that she goes by the name Diablo Cody. Does anyone know where she came up with that or what the fuck its all about?

Oh yeah, because Downey and DiCaprio look sooo much like the shrimpy old perv! Hell, maybe Diablo could stick you in a smoking jacket and captains jat and you could play Hef Perez. Like you, he is an ass man!
Remember, while Cody had a big indie hit, she also had a bomb with Jennifer's Body. So let's not anoint her quite yet.
Tough assignment for whoever does it. Hefners story has been done so many times before, Mags, PBS and the like, how could you spin it anymore. It would be like trying to come up with something new on the Beatles. In that picture dosen't he look like Daryl Dragon looking for Toni Tennille?
I don't get it..there is a movie already coming at this fall about Hugh Hefner. It premiered at the Toronto Int. Film Festival. I don't get it.

I have ALWAYS thought Aaron Eckhart should play Hef in a movie…they look just alike! He would be great…think about it.
