Redmond Gets Released From Jail
As we mentioned last week, Redmond O'Neal, Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett's son, was sentenced to a year in a residential drug treatment program.
He pleaded no contest against the charges he faced for bringing heroin into a jail facility and was ordered to be moved from prison to a rehab facility.
Well, the time has come and yesterday Redmond was released from jail and sent to an in-patient drug rehab facility.
Judge Jane Godfrey said the 24-year-old Redmond was "doing extremely well."
So he was sent to the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Pasadena, California, where he'll be required to stay for a year.
Redmond's attorney reveals:
"Redmond has embraced recovery. All of his reports are extremely positive. He has taken huge steps towards his new life. This has been a very challenging time for Redmond. He lost his mother while in recovery. He loved his mother dearly and that was extremely hard on him. It would be challenging for anybody, much less a 24-year-old coming to grips with his addiction and recovery."
But Redmond's legal troubles don't end there. He'll have to return to court at the end of this month to deal with the charges from his DUI arrest earlier this year and his probation violation.
However, odds are the charges will be dropped if he successfully completes rehab.
Let's hope he cleans up his act!

he's been out of jail…he's been out for a week now..my husband works in the jail he was in..and he told me he was released…and that he was a real asshole…

BULLSHIT! Go easy on the kid, ya, that's just what he needs. He's been an addict since he was a tween. Just watch what happens when he's done with this slap on the wrist. That's why it takes these celebs & their spawn years to get clean; the gentle treatment they get when they fuck up. If it were you or I, we'd be in prison right now just for bringing the heroin in.
