    Funny, the guy playing Freddie Cougar i just saw him this weekend in the movie "Little Children." He played a child molester. Anyways, i really don't care for the look of it.     Terrible. The guy that played Rorschach is playing Freddie — he's only like 5'2”. Way too short to be Krueger. I understand that Englund is too old to reprise this role in a remake, but in that case, they should have cast Ben Foster. This guy has incredible range and he has the same profile as Englund. They really look a lot a like. It would have been an amazing fit for this role.

    The best thing about the original (and all Wes Craven horror films for that matter) is the combiation of humor and horror. You laugh and then get freaked out. I see no humor in this trailer. It seems like it is going to be a straight horror film–most likely unmemorable. And no Johnny Depp or Robert Englund?

    First, it's not a complete remake. It looks like they've taken 1 and 2 and combined them. Fine with me. Plus, the guys behind Friday the 13th (remake) wrote it. I'm ok with this too being that they made Jason more realistic. Also, Jackie Earl Haley is one of the best actors out there. He'll do a great job as Freddy. Plus it's not even October, the movie doesn't come out till April, give it some time. For a first trailer, it's very impressive.

    I agree… Part of what made Freddy really scary was his voice. He didn't even have to be on screen to be scary.. Just hearing his voice echo did the trick. I'll watch but will probably be picking it apart the whole time.

    This could ONLY be scary to someone who wasn't around for the original one, which actually WAS scary. Perhaps some of today's teens might think this is new but the clips are mainly from the original film. Anyone who saw the original when it came out and watched Freddy slowly walk down that alley with those longgggg arms knows exactly what I'm talking about! THAT WAS THE DEFINITION OF SCARY!!
