The inspiration to the Beatles' song, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, has passed away today.

After a long fight against lupus, Lucy Vodden died at the age of 46 at the St. Thomas' Hospital in London, where she was treated.

We send our condolences to her family and friends.

I read somewhere that lucy doesn't identify with the song LSD. She doesnt think its about her. I think everyone can agree that this is a song about an acid trip.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds was inspired by a picture that Lennon's son drew. They asked the kid what it was and he said "it's lucy in the sky with diamonds". That is what the Beatles documentary said. It had nothing to do with LSD. I'm not saying the man wasn't on it, I'm sure he was. But it is not about LSD.

John Lennon's kid drew a picture, and when he asked what his kid called it, the kid said "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." This came from Paul and John themselves in their Anthology. It has nothing to do with this chick Lucy, and it has nothing to do with LCD. brush up on your beatles history perez!
