This Sunday, a private memorial will be held for the late Patrick Swayze.

The benefit will take place at Sony Studios in Culver City, California.

Donations will be made to either "Stanford University: The Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund" or to "Stand Up to Cancer".

Hopefully a lot of donations will be made.

Every dollar helps!

I've always liked him.He was one of the few actors that didn't let success go to his head. And I always loved the movie Pointbreak it's a classic. He was so down to earth. How much he loved his wife. It's so sad R.I.P

    g.baby: good one! LOL.

And it's always practical, somehow, to have a memorial for a "late" person (god forbid not an early one, but never for a living one, which is sad)….HILARIOUS!

Randy Pausch was the big loss to pancreatic cancer.

Sorry but donatingmoney to Cancer research is flushing it. A cure will never be found because there's too much money being donated!! It's true, folks. The Big Ticket diseases like Cancer, Diabetes, MD, and even AIDS will never be cured or if they are will never be available because no matter what they (as in the medical establishment, not your local doc) charge for the cure, it will NEVER rake in the billions received from all the well meaning walks, runs, bake sales, etc. Better off putting the donated money away in a shoe box and saving it in the event you become sick and need it for the bills health insurance won't cover!
