Who doesn't want a piece of the Jackson estate?
Mesereau & Yu, the law firm that defended Michael Jackson during his 2005 molestation trial, filed a claim against the estate on Friday.
They state that the pop star owes the firm $341,452.05 for legal services rendered between July 2005 and February 2006.
Of course, they did their job as Michael was acquitted on all 14 charges, but going after the money 4 years later?!
We aren't sure if this is just another creditor coming out of the woodwork or legit!

You dumbass, they have probably been trying to get the money the whole time and now is when it will actually be paid since he's not around to ditch the bill. This was Michael's habit with many companies and you are actually suggesting its not legit??? You must be smoking some crack Perez….
I really don't spend too much reading on this site anymore because many of the stories posted are repeated from another website that I also visit.
Well, if they are actually owed that money, then they should go and recover it, but I think it's really strange that they would collect 4 or 5 years later. Were they even making an attempt to collect prior to his death? I work with attorneys. They collect their money within two years or they write it off.
I just get the feeling that they are trying to get more out of him after already getting their payment. Everyone else has their hands out, why not them, right? They see this as victimless, however, the more people take, the less his kids end up with.
That's sad. RIP MJJ.

I had so wanted MJ's death to be a hoax because it was too incomprehensible to think of him dead, but now that we have all had a shocking insight into the appalling, horrific world he lived in, surrounded as Lisa Marie said, by vultures (starting with his stupid jerk of a brother Jermaine) and vampires feeding on him 24-hours a day for the last 35 years, I am glad he is dead and finally free of what must have been a nightmare life. If his incredible love for his kids was not enough to keep him away from blotting out his pain and loneliness through drugs, then his life must have been way more unbearable than any of us could ever have imagined any person could take. RIP angel, you are better off wherever you are.

I sure would hope that Tom's attentions aren't at all bad. Michael was getting all kind of people coming at him with their hands out and it could be very possible that him and Tom made a deal to where Tom wouldn't hound him over his payment because he new Michael's attentions were to pay him. In these horrible circumstances with Michael no longer being here it could very well be possible that he is just trying to get his money. I really can't see Tom being like all the other buttholes. He has always stuck by Michael's innocence and has always stuck by MJ's side (even now) regarding everything so I highly doubt that he would try and dog him out now.

its probably for the probate. MJ surely were paying off and now the lawyers need to make sure the cash-flow will still coming to them.
I recalled reading somewhere that Thomas Mesereau and Susan Yu, after successfully defended Michael Jackson, also helped to relocate Michael and his children to Bahrain, and that is probably where the legal costs come from. The time period of the claimed services (July 2005 - Feb 2006) made sense too. If Michael Jackson has indeed hired their services, they are certainly entitled to collect the money from the estate and there's nothing unethical about it. They probably didn't want to bother Michael back then with the bill when he was still recovering from the long exhaustive trial.
