Michelle Obama To Kick It With Big Bird

Coming in to their 40th season with a big bang, Sesame Street will welcome the First Lady, Michelle Obama as their first celebrity guest.

The First Lady will be in a segment encouraging kids to plant gardens and eat healthy food.

The premiere episode, which airs November 10th, will feature the First Lady teaching some of the Street's most famous furry "residents" about the "benefits of growing a garden and healthy living, and will show children how to plant tomato, cucumber and lettuce seeds."

The Obamas sure know how to work the media!

I have seen that brooch on her at least 3 other times. It looks great. I'm so glad we have a First Lady who seems to be a regular person. You know like shopping at J Crew and wearing the same jewelry for several photo shoots.

I absolutely adore her as First Lady. She is relaly bringing alot of awareness to children's health habits that have been sadly neglected a lot over the pasy few years. What a wonderful opportunity. Sesame Street RULES!! Lol…

I am just blown away by how hideous this woman's clothes are. I mean honestly, what is she THINKING? She has worn ONE attractive dress since she hit the limelight. Laura Bush, on the other hand, never looked anything but stunning (and no, I am not a Laura Bush fan, but she looked great). Michelle needs to look at what Diana Princess of Wales did: stylish colors for someone TALL and willowy….simple accessories or NO accessories (no brooches or bangles)…no orange! no weird short jackets and sweaters. no pants too short. no stupid belt things like that sash she had on inauguration day. jeez. I know it's not her job to look a certain way, but I really just don't know what she's thinking with her choices. so unflattering.

as for J Crew, it's expensive! I get compliments on my clothes all the time, and they are from Goodwill! most of them brand new, even with name labels, but I don't pay more than $8 a dress. someone just now complimented this Norm Thompson thing (one color, Michelle) and yesterday it was a purple shift by All That Jazz. each was $6.99. oh I sound like I'm bragging. oh fuck it…
