Dennis Hopper Was Dehydrated

As we mentioned earlier, actor Dennis Hopper was rushed to a New York City hospital on Wednesday.
The 73-year-old was taken to the emergency room, but no details were released about the reason.
Turns out Hopper was suffering from dehydration.
According to his manager, Hopper was suffering from severe flu-like symptoms and had to be treated for dehydration. Adding that thankfully Hopper is "now back in his hotel room and feeling much better."
Unfortunately, Dennis had to cancel interview appearances for his new Starz seires, Crash. But his manager adds that "Dennis would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and he looks forward to getting back to work on Crash."
So glad he's doing better!

dehydration…NO alcohol for a few hours?
With all his $ why doesn't he get his teeth fixed? Maybe he's from England!
ok, if it were anyone else, you would have pointed out that 'exhaustion' is a code word for a dopers misadventure.
Damn this is a rough crowd, glad to see it. I can't believe the dehydration excuse works for AARP members too. I hope Dennis is feeling better, leagues more talented than most featured on this site.
Should have taken a sip of the bong water…
good. he was nice enough to take a picture with me
push those fluids dennis…not booze, that dehydrates also. take care.
GOOD FOR YOU, DENNIS! And good for us, your fans!
I'm so glad you are back!
Take care,man, will you?
As someone working in health care, I can tell you the reason for the diagnosis. It's because of insurance. This is a diagnosis that gets someone admitted for insurance purposes and gets it paid for. So usually IV fluids, and if he required O2 as reported, it could be COPD or some upper respiratory issue, a fever and who knows what else, leading to dehydration. So the question is what's the reason for the dehydration.
There must be no water in Hollywood…..so many celebrities come down with dehydration.
