Nike has decided to resign Michael Vick.
What!? Do they actually think they'll make $$$ off of him???
The company originally dumped Vick more than 2 years ago because of his involvement with dogfighting.
So why the change of heart?
It might have something to do with the Philadelphia Eagles receiving little backlash from signing him after his stint in prison.
That still doesn't make it OK!
Guess Nike doesn't want a positive role model wearing their shiz.

Why are people all up in arms about Michael Vick? I agree that animal cruelty is awful and should be punished — he was punished. He served his time for his crime and just because he has a high profile job, he should not be left back to do it? That seems like hypocrisy.
I love how the people in Hollywood can be complete fuckups but you don't hear people bitching about them and having rallies about Cokate moss still doing modeling or linsanity still doing movies. These people are labeled entertainers. You pay money to go to their movies or their shows — just the same as you pay to go to a football or baseball game. Athletes are entertainers — not role models. I do not know why athletes are put on such a high pedestal because they play sports. Role models should be people that make an impact in society — not entertainers.

In 2007, Nike terminated Michael Vick's contract after he was indicted on charges of running a dogfighting ring.
