Jon's seemingly selfish and irrational crusade against the network that bore his fame, TLC, is actually a ploy to get out of his contract in order to join another reality show, according to Papa Lohan.
Says LezLo's dad:
“All I can tell you from my conversation with him two days ago is that he does want to pursue the Divorced Dads Club. Michael Heller, he and I represent Jon on a business level, wants him to do the show. Mark is trying to get him out of the TLC contract so he can.”
Hey, newsflash, Lohan, he already was let go from the show! He is free and clear to do whatever he pleases, including your stupid, pathetic" he-man wives-who-have-better-careers-than-me haters club."
But Papa Lohan insists that isn't the case, that in fact TLC let Jon go from the show, but insisted on keeping him under contract despite the change.

Perez, you are wrong. He isn't "free". Even though he isn't going to be on the show as much, TLC still has an "exclusivity" clause on him. They might not want him, but they still can control whether or not he goes on any other show or network.

TLC doesn't own anyone. Contracts are made to be broken just like promises. TLC might not have the upper hand over Jon after all he can throw alot of shit down if he chooses to. Remember those children are his children not TLC's.

Despite being dropped from the show, Jon is still under an exclusive contract with TLC. This means that unless TLC picks up Divorced Dads Club (highly unlikely since it is more than likely going to be garbage) Jon can't do it. He isn't allowed to give any other on screen interviews or do any other shows that TLC does not clear first. So technically, he is not free and clear to do whatever he wants. Pentaly to breach this contract are probably outrageous since (Jon and) Kate Plus 8 is TLC's cash cow
