Nobody is going to buy this, you two!
Randy and Evi Quaid are now scheduled to appear in court on October 19. The couple is being charged with 3 felony counts for their unpaid $10,000 hotel bill at San Ysidro Ranch.
But they're saying that this whole thing is just a big misunderstanding because they didn't think they had to pay the bill before they left! Because that's how hotels usually operate.
Their lawyer also said the bill was lost in the mail because they moved and it has since been paid.
But the D.A. still isn't dropping the charges.
Good thinking, this isn't the first time the couple has pulled these hotel shenanigans!

Being that i was in the hotel biz for 5 years, usually a payment type must be supplied up front (at check in). In my instances, if cash was paid, a cc is still needed for incidentals. Sounds like part of the problem was the hotel not making sure their guests had adequate monies on a credit card to pay for their stay. Also, hotel bills are not sent out in the mail….I've never heard of such a thing. It's not like your monthly car payment. And lastly, if you don't pay for services rendered (even if the hotel didn't make sure adequate monies were available),there is most definitely reason to take your dumb ass to court…..
Um…who doesn't have to pay a hotel bill upon checkout? Typical B.S. from drug addicts.

I rarely ever pay my bill when checking out. When I check in I give the hotel my credit card. And when I check out I just wake up and go, unless I'm going to dispute the charges. Then the next month my credit card is billed.
When I check into a hotel, the first thing they want is a credit card. It's hard to skip out when they have your credit card.
