Beyonce took time out before hitting the stage for the F1 concert in Singapore to stop by a children's cancer ward to visit and sing for the kids and staff.

People, the cameras are there because it will most likely be featured on her upcoming DVD for her tour. The footage above was taken on a camera phone by someone at the hospital, and put up onto YouTube. She's literally a saint. There's no need to hate on her.

SHE IS NOT A SAINT! I'm sickened by her attempt to draw attention toward herself once again by garnering publicity. I guess her PR reps were thrilled at the publicity she recieved from the Halo youtube video, so now they are trying to milk this behavior for all it's worth.

youknow , the very first thing i thought was it was cool….then i thought..what the heck is with all the fancy cameras following her…is this going to be used to record the event?…then i realized it is just for good press…i guess for the kids in the sick ward…they dont care if they are used…they got a brief moment with a celebrity and maybe it cheered them up…so its not completely cynical…but i cannot skip over the fact that it was for good press and the fact it is on youtube, perez and based on the fancy expensive camera guy who got in her way over and over…..its gonna be used to make her look like a saint

I have tears in my eyes….as a mother of two precious healthy children, I cannot imagine the pain that the babies and their families feel in that cancer ward. I had the misfortune of staying a few days in such a ward when my newborn son scooted off the couch onto the wood floor, smacking his head. I felt so thankful that my little guy was healthy and ok. I cannot tell you, Perez readers, of the pain I saw on parents' faces….parents who were tending to their very ill children…bald heads, not able to walk, unconscious, vomiting, Beyonce is a generous performer for contributing her time to these poor kids. However, until she becomes a parent, and feels the terror of a sick child, she will never understand how awful that ward is for those who are pulling for those kids. I commend her for trying to bring a smile to those babies. Perhaps this is why many of you criticize her….she is not a mom, she does not understand the situation fully. She will eventually…expect to see more from our brilliant Diva.

She's a public figure, her moves will definitely be tracked by the paparazzi in Singapore too. So even if she visits the cancer ward w/o announcing, the media would get wind of it too!

The kids with cancer loved it and so did the doctors and nurses who work day in and out dealing with the sick. At least Beyonce's using her status to make a difference in someone's day.
This was a nice thing for her to do, but I think she could have chosen a better song. "Don't you ever for a second get to thinking, you're irreplaceable" - These are kids in a cancer ward. Not sure what their diagnosis is, but some may be dying. It's like telling them they're replaceable. Sad on so many levels.
