Lady GaGa was at the Billboard "Women in Music" event in NYC on Friday to receive the Rising Star Award when she addressed the cancellation of her "Fame Kills" tour with Kanye West.
"It was a mutual decision," she says. "Kanye's going to take some time off. But the good news is that I'm going on tour in a few weeks."

Well I like many called this one. I hope this can be directly attributed to Kanye's behavior and he realizes he who lives by the sword dies by the sword ie, his behavior at public events needs to change or his career is over. You need fans and fans go for the personality of the artist, as much as the quality (and there is considerable talent here) of the artist's music. As for (the more recent issue (and separate from his being an asshole) needing rehab and whether there is a problem here, only he and his family/friends know the answer and he has to be willing to put down the booze and seek help, genuinely and not for publicity. This cancellation is the best thing for everyone all around.

Live Nation didn't have to pair him with Lady GaGa for the "Fame Kills" tour. GaGa has enough talent and energy to stand on her own. If she is to grow as a performer, Lady G needs to experience the touring life, front and center.
Thanks to Perez, I discovered Lady G's talent. She is a great singer/dancer, with a touch of the theatrical. If she were sharing the stage with Kanye West, I wouldn't have attended any of the concert dates. To Lady G's credit, she didn't attack him in the media. Classy, classy, classy!
