It's really not that shocking that David Letterman had affairs with his staff. Everyone know that he was a womanizer back in the day.

    2. 2

Annnnnd…how much you wanna bet that here comes all the morally upright posters with their judgmental comments piling on top of Dave like a WWF maneuver. eyeroll.

    3. 3

Dave's a grown man. He did not have to explain to anyone. Sex happens. His office could be any office USA. As long as it's between two consenting adults - it's no one else's business.

    4. 4

It's like deja vu … it this a joke mario… same shit over and over again.

    5. 5

Saw it lats night shit for brains….now how about explaining your video from last night rummy.

    6. 6

No. I'm tired of having to watch stupid Heritage College ads before EVERY video.

    7. 7

Why the fuck is the crowd laughing at his admission that he's been screwing his staff?I'll bet the suits at CBS also found this funny!Karma just took a huge dump on his head!

    8. 8

      whoa shocking !!

    9. 9

At least Bristol Palin had her baby. I bet Letterman made his ho's have abortions. HA HA David. That's what you get for making fun of a minor. Now, all of your dirty laundry is out just like Bristol's is. Your "staff" should file sexual harrassment charges against you and you should lose your show.

    10. 10

YOU KNOW WATCHING PEREZ TV IS LIKE LISTENING TO RADIO IN THE 1930'S

    11. 11

      Still Team Dave !!!!!!!!!

    12. 12

so?? a grown man having sex with different women?, and? i'm so glad someone had the cajones to finally stand up and fight back against blackmail. Good for Dave! everything else is between he and his wife.

    13. 13

so the audiences reactions were really strange, but whatever.. ive been at a taping of jay leno and somehow they get you to laugh at everything. But, what is really disturbing to me is the way letterman is acting about the whole thing. hes like yea i had sex with women big deal. um the big deal is 1. YOU WERE IN A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP ASSHOLE. he has said many times that the woman he recently married was his girlfriend for 27 years. 2. It is not okay to have sexual relationships with people who work for you. If not disclosed, it is usually illegal. I never liked david letterman (just never thought he was funny), but now i am really disgusted by him.
ps: turtlegirl, you are just ignorant.

    14. 14

GOOD: HE CONFESSED AND ISNT SCARED
BAD: HE CHEATED ON HIS THEN FIANCE

    15. 15

I feel sorry for his wife god forbid if he cheated on her this could have been years and years ago and not like something that happened now he has a 5 yr old kid so hopefully everything is ok at home in that case I still

    16. 16

Can someone please tell me when he admitted to cheating on his wife? He never said when this happened or whether or not it could be considered cheating. The fact it was people he worked with is irrelevant. If you know anything about David Letterman it is that he is a workaholic and rarely makes public appearances outside of his television show. You people are fucking idiots…all of you.

Man…this is not funny…I think people thought he was kidding.
You could see in his face that he was being serious.
Well…it is nice that he admits it.

    18. 18

Re: LizardKinG – YOu nailed it !! #10

    19. 19

Why the FUCK are all these people in the audience clapping and cheering and laughing??? I don't see what's so funny about a man cheating on his wife and risking destroying his young child's family!!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING!

    20. 20

      POSTED ON T M Z YESTERDAY

      21

Who but Letterman could make extortion funny?

He is brilliant and hilarious and a lot of other celebrities and politicos would be wise to take a cue from him.

Letterman did not confess to cheating on anyone. While it is an implied possibility, passing that sort of judgement is at best, premature. Not only could it have happened prior to marriage, but he could be in an open marriage. Comparisons to Palins make me laugh, ha ha ha ha ha.

    22. 22

It makes me sick that people clapped and laughed as he was coming clean. His wife should leave his sorry ass.

    23. 23

Re: Idiot America – Well, come on now, we're not all idiots are we? I agree with you. He is a grown man and had sexual relationships with women, not donkeys for God's sake and was between him and the women in his life. Who knows when it was? What he did was legal. Blackmail is not. That guy sure was an idiot to mess with DL!

    24. 24

LOL! "Sex happens". "Everyone knows Dave's a womanizer"…LOL what a bunch of hypocrites. Dave Letterman CHRONICALLY SCREWS HIS STAFF AND MAKES JOKES ABOUT TEENAGE GIRLS. Yeah, nothing to see here…just another dirty old man perv. Disgusting Dave.

    25. 25

SHOCKING HOW HE IS SO BLASE ABOUT SCREWING HIS STAFF. HIS STAFF. It's no different than a harem. It's a tacit part of the job. Um…you work for Dave? Wear something sexy. If you're lucking he'll think you're "special" and "pick you". VOMITOUS. I thought workplace politics had changed since the 50s? As for cheating on his woman..THAT'S between him and his woman…but screwing his staff…EXCUSE ME? And he's so nonchalent about it all "Yeah I screwed my staff..so what?"

    26. 26

      Re: turtlegirl – I couldn't agree more.

    27. 27

Re: LizardKinG – 5 LOL! Seriously!

    28. 28

      Re: LULU~* – 11 Team Dave!

    29. 29

Oh my it's awkward that the audience keeps laughing….it's not a funny story.

    30. 30

think about it yall, we came to watch this video knowing what the story was about…its near impossible to go to a show like his and not clap/laugh. they assumed it was a joke or just a funny story. calm down. also…why isnt he wearing a wedding ring??

    31. 31

      HE ROCKS

    32. 32

I, too, found it strange that the audience was laughing as he was telling the story, but I think it is because they thought he was kidding or that the story was going to turn out to be different. At first he didn't really act serious as he was saying he did "creepy things".

With that said, his choices didn't have any affect on me and he is dealing with the consequences, so it doesn't change how I feel about him in the first place. I watch him because he is entertainment…he is funny and witty and none of this changes it.

    33. 33

Way to tell the world you love your wife who was your girlfriend of 20 something years.

I feel so bad for his wife.

Just because 2 people are consenting don't mean shit. Just because you are grown adult don't mean shit too. You can still be full of shit.

    34. 34

Was he married at the time?
Otherwise who cares. He is acting like a typical male human.

    35. J.Mo says – reply to this

      35

We have no idea when he had sexual relationships with staff members and we don't know anything about his relationship. Dontcha think over all those years with a commitment-phobe that they were sometimes separated and seeing other people?
Brilliant and charming to be able to tell this story and keep the audience engaged. Of the hundreds of employees over all these yrs don't you think many were colleagues of equal status, NOT teenaged interns.

      36

Glad he was just honest about it all, its better than everyone making up what they think happened.

    37. 37

wgas…..scumbag. best not to point the finger before you look at yourself.

    38. 38

eww what a creep. i never cared for david letterman he is too bumbling and he probably wants all the guest who go on the show too

    39. 39

      I love you David Letterman!!

    40. 40

First someone plots to kidnap his child and now this…fuck man…Dave…Im glad you aren't taking shit but might be time to start reflecting on retiring and getting out of the spotlight so you dont have to feel "hinkey".

I'd like to see Leno and Conan tonight, whether they take the high road and don't mention it or whether they do their jog as "comedians" and comment on topical events in a funny way (or as close as Jay can get). Leno has made much of Jay at 10 in his top 10, so who knows. The picture of Bill Clinton and Dave during a recent show may make for a great sight gag/joke. I think Dave "broke" the story they way he did in an attempt to diffuse some of the future comments/jokes/stories etc.

    42. 42

I feel bad for his wife, but that was really funny!!

    43. ap076 says – reply to this

      43

Ugh….read before post…..JOB as comedians. and DAVE is making much of Leno at 10pm in his top ten.

    44. 44

I hope thats canned laughter because I would hate to think the american audience was so fucking stupid they would laugh when he said "yes, i had sex with women who worked on my team" and laughed when he was talking about it AFTER he talked about his family feeling unsafe.

      Seriously?

The guy who tried to blackmail him was a cock BUT David Letterman is an even bigger douchbag for the fact of sleeping around with people he worked with and somehow managed to come out OK PR wise despite being a cheating mutha fucka….by making people laugh. WHAT?!?!??!

    45. 45

Now we probably know the reason why he didn't get married for so long… problems with monogamy. Of course, that's no one's business except his and his now wife. My personal philosophy is that until someone is married they are still free to do whatever they want with who ever they want. It may not be nice but it is more honest. I'm sure his wife knows about his wandering ways and she's choosen to stay with him for 27 year, have a child with him and ultimately marry him. If it works for them it's no one else's business. As for blackmail, I'm glad he went to the police no matter what it might cost him personally. His actions in this instance show integrity and a respect for the law. Since no woman has ever filed a sexual harrassement suit vs. him before I think it's safe to say they were all consentual relationships. Unfortunately, these women are also victims in this blackmain scheme and I hope the courts take their privacy into account as the legal case goes forward.

    46. 46

UMM, WASNT HIS WIFE ONCE A STAFF MEMBER TOO??? POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK, LOL. AND WUTS MORE GROSS IS MOST OF THE CHICS WHO WORK THERE ARE PRETTY FUGLY. DAVE HAS NO TASTE IN WOMEN AND THE CHICS WERE DESPERATE. I'M SURPRISED NONE OF THE CHICS SUED HIM OR CBS FOR THE HELL OF IT CITING SEXUAL IMPROPRIETY. HE WOULD HAVE PAID UP AND SETTLED IN THAT CASE. JUST SAYIN.

      47

      weird…

    48. 48

I think he handled that well…. not sure why he had to explain publicly that he's had sex with staff members… is that illegal in the US?..(just kidding)

    49. 49

Re: Noxx – I completely agree. I think he handled the whole thing with dignity, class and he's got major balls. Good on Dave!

    50. 50

Way to abuse your power on the office chicks Dave. Did they lose their jobs of they didn't go all the way. You are creppy and past your prime, gross old man.

    51. 51

This was hard for him…I feel like I lost David through his cheating…I've lost respect.

    52. 52

      Hey Dave,

I'm pissed… it should have been me you were doing.

Idiots who are on their high horse about him cheating on his wife… you have no idea when it happened. It's really none of your business anyway.

      Two consenting adults…. who cares.

    53. 53

I thought he handled the matter well. He is a grown man and makes his own choices. The matter is really between him and his wife. So many people shouldn't people shouldn't be so quick to judge or cast stones. He didn't rape the women, he had consensual sex. It happens in offices everywhere, everyday, every hour folks. I'm not saying he was right for cheating on his wife… for all we know they could have an open relationship and she may have her friends to meet up with as well. I think he was right to address it to his fans/audiences well before the National Enquirer got a hold of it. I'm sure they are pissed they weren't in on the scoop. For all of those who don't seem to understand…the clap at the end was a show of support for Dave. For those who don't seem understand why he was using some funny content. He was probably nervous and embarrased. Some people are like that, it is called a defense mechanism. I'm like that when i'm nervous and have laughed at the worst times. But Dave was clearly being serious. Honestly, some of the comments on here are ridiculous and stupid. Learn to read body language and some of you learn to not be so cut throat. Were all sinners at some point in our life.

    54. 54

He handled that PERFECTLY. Admit it and move on. He's flawed - SO WHAT? Men all over the globe find illicit sex exciting. This is no occasion for condemnation. IT'S JUST SEX. Get off your moral high horses!

    55. 55

I like David Letterman but what he did really sucks! He's married for goodness sake! He's old ugh. hahaha I feel bad for his poor wife. I do hope the guy who was black mailing Letterman goes down no one should be done like that. At least he's honest. That' something I guess.

    56. 56

imagine that……………especially after letterman had the audacity to talk about sarah palin's family. your a pig letterman.

    57. 57

Re: sarah.love – i believe your the ignorant one… people screwing is private, whether they are married or not.. i think it is between him and his spouse… ever heard …mindya biznezz? u should do some research.. what century are we in again? we can do wtv da **** we want..go bak in tyme biotch

    58. 58

Damn no one mentioned how ugly he is. Its amazing anyone slept with HIM>!!

    59. 59

I like the way he was open about it…but again he cheated, which is never good. tbh I probably would have paid the £2 million! he must be rolling in it, now his wife must be pissed!!

    60. 60

Re: Isabella254 – I was thinking that! Dude is not the least bit attractive. Some chicks will sleep with anyone who is famous though. Gross. I still like him, he's not my husband. If he was I'd freakin castrate him.

    61. 61

what sick piece of shit…he didn't even apologize to the women he fucked…which he should've done while he was fucking them…his breath cud kill a walrus

    62. 62

He definitely has balls stating he had sex with his coworkers and cheated on his wife. No normal celebrity would have done that. He did that on his own show in front of millions of people to make sure nothing was gossiped about in the wrong way. Everyone makes mistakes. Some make them more then once. No one's perfect so no one should judge cause i'm sure those judging have made some pretty bad mistakes too.

It takes two to tango. I'm sure his coworkers didn't mind it.

    63. 63

All of the laughing made me uncomfortable. He should have said something like "No, this is serious" or something.

    64. 64

really funny Dave you ass!!!! Hope you had a great time making your wife feel like shit. The fact of the matte IS.. your STUPID audience applauded you………I personally have not watched you for years. and for that I am proud. My sincere condolences to your wife…

    65. 65

WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE CLAPPING, CHEERING AND LAUGHING??!!!!
ARE THEY THIS DUMB?! what the fuck please. it's outrageous how people can be stupid, wow.

    66. 66

YEAH>>>MORE LIKE YOU MISSED IT PEREZ—you did not do a single mention until 12 hours later! Sandra Bernhard says Jay Leno is a huge FREAK inbed–sick–at least Dave is normal!

    67. 67

ewwwwwwwwwwwww….who will wanna have sex with this old hag. disgusting!!!!!! why does he take long to confess!? effin douche

    68. 68

Dave is skirting the big issue. Mr. Indiana guilt….didn't address the infidelity issue. He was in a committed relationship through all of this wasn't he? Or part of it? He really didn't mention that. Mr Moral majority that he is.

    69. 69

I hope his sex partners get paid well for this. Donna

    70. 70

I'm more offended by his amoral adultery than any law-breaking involved with someone trying to blackmail him about it. What an asshole!

    71. 71

at the 1:53 mark, you hear a cameraman or producer say "Oh no" just as Lettermans about to start talking about being blackmailed

    72. 72

      Good on him!

    73. 73

Re: zeynoo – No, that's Paul from the band. He always joins in.

    74. 74

David Letterman use poor judgement for having sex with the "staff". The network he works for should fire him for exposing them to workplace lawsuits for sexual harrassment. The network needs to do the right thing and get rid of this problem just like any other company.
