K-Stew Finds Herself Portraying Bella "Boring"
We honestly do not understand why all you Twilighters stand behind this chick. It's obvious she resents you guys for her current state of life.
Why admire someone like that?
In the new issue of Interview magazine, Kristen Stewart explains that the price of her Twilight fame has been very high, creating a life that she isn't very happy with.
She says" "I'd like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave. So it can be boring."
She is referring to, of course, the lockdown lifestyle she and Robert Pattinson have become accustomed to since the filming of the last two Twilight flicks. The hysteria from paparazzi and fans over these two has gotten so big that studios keep them locked up for safe keeping. It's definitely having a negative affect on K-Stew, who already wasn't that jovial to begin with.
And it's not just the that, she has come to find the Bella "persona" annoying:
"I've been working as an actress since I was very young, and I know a lot of people who are actors who don't have to deal with having a persona The whole meaning of the word is that it's made up, and it's like I didn't even get to make up my own. It can be annoying. Some nights, I think, 'You know what? I don't care. I'm just going to do what I want to do.' Then the next day I think, 'Ugh. Now everyone thinks I'm going out to get the attention.' But it's like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person."

Second… there's nothing inflammatory about her statements. She's being honest, and fans probably appreciate that. And she does have a point– to play Bella, she had to fit into the mold that readers had already shaped, so she couldn't really make up her own persona for the film. But that doesn't really matter– just give the girl a break, would you?

I absolutely adore Kristen Stewart. She's androgynous, she has a deep voice, she's quiet, awkward, and you can tell that she really thinks deeply about everything she says. She's passionate about what she does, and doesn't care about the "being a star" aspect of it. That's not why she acts. I can see how some people might read her as boring or ungrateful, but I see quiet subtlety and social anxiety. Fierce People was an amazing movie. If you think she can't act, watch that. Watch it anyway, because it's beautiful.

I have never liked Kristen Stewart as Bella. Bella may not be the most exciting character in the world, but she signed on for a movie based on a book so she knew that she wasn't going to be able to make up her own persona in the first place, so she just needs to get over herself and her "acting." As far as not being able to go out, who cares? No one wants to see her anyway, they only follow her to try to see Rob.

Some people sign up for recognition, not for uber-fame and I think Kristen being so young didn't care enough to do the homework on what Twilight was and came in to a very rude awakening. She didn't expect it because she didn't take the time to find out what the role was. now she regrets it.
If I had been offered a role in the first Twilight movie, I would have turned it down. I mean, sure as an actor I would the paycheck, but being recognized is totally different than being mobbed. If I personally couldn't walk to Starbucks without being mobbed, I'd totally hate the world too.

I read part of the interview and I just think she was expressing how her life has changed..I don't think she was being ungrateful,…just honest….the papz hounding her and Rob must be hard…she young….if they come out and say they are dating maybe it will get better…..I think as long as she is with R-Pattz and they are still filming, this will be her life…..they need to go to Europe and hopefully get a break……but I will miss my daily dose of R-Pattz!

I read it more as the "persona" being what the media creates for her personally~not her Bella portrayal. Everyone in the media has taken a pretty harsh stance with her, including you Perez. What I try to keep in mind is that she is only 19, she has been thrust into a type of Fame that we can barely conceive of and she is NOT a train-wreck like Lindsey currently is or other like Brittney have been. I understand where she's coming from with the no privacy thing as she's come from not being known at all, to an overnight celebrity on the cover of every magazine with Robert Pattinson. Plus the girl is ONLY 19, I think she's very mature then most 19 year olds especially in her situation. On the other hand though this is what she signed up for, but I guess for anyone it would be overwhelming.
i feel bad for this girl. yeah shes an actress and being judged comes with the territory, but she has the right to go out and live her life and not be stalked by paparazzi. i get mad when someone i know takes my picture, now imagine having tons of strangers always following you and snapping shots of you. i'm not famous, but i could understand how you could always feel trapped. and yeah shes making all this money, but she probably can't enjoy it like she wishes she could. i personally think there should be a law against the paparazzi, some of them really are too much.
