T-Boz Suffered From Secret Brain Tumor!

This is crazy!

Tionne Watkins, aka T-Boz from TLC, revealed to People magazine that she has secretly battled a brain tumor for 3 years.

What!? That's quite a secret to be keeping!

So why did she keep it a secret even while she participated on Celebrity Apprentice?

"I didn't want pity - I was there to help sick children."

Wow!

Back in 2006, the singer underwent a 7 hour surgery, where the doctor peeled the tumor from the brain stem by making a cut behind her ear.

Miss Watkins says: "I'm still here. It will take way more to stop me."

Such a fighter!

Way to go T-Boz and way to keep it off the media circus radar. Always loved TLC and do even more now. Got my own little "bump" on my hypothalamus so love to hear stories of perseverance.

She has an auto immune disease too right? Doctors said when she was a baby that she wouldn't live to see her 20's. Crazy what struggles life throws at you, she's a fighter for sure.

She is an amazing woman. As a fellow brain tumor survivor I commend her privacy on this issue. While I am not a famous person, I wish that I had kept my condition private from certain people. Other people's intentions are not necessarily nobel when they have hidden agendas. Stereotypes are a bitch, but life indeed does go on. Props, my dear T-Boz~

I have ALWAYS been a fan of TLC and T-Boz made me smile all the time. So sad when the group stopped and even sadder how they mismanaged their funds. Truly a girl group that will be timeless for me. T-Boz, talk about class and dignity and the epitome of Love Himself. The way I have seen you manage through your trials and the fact that you think about innocent little ones in spite of your pain fills my Heart. Tionne is a fighter. She is made of steel and NOTHING will break her. I can't wait for the world to hear her song titled "Stronger Than You Know" which is about her fight with SCA and the tumor. Being a friend of Ms. Watkins, I can tell you she was not playing around when she said 'It will take more than that to stop me" - She has a beautiful daughter named Chase, and amazing friends and family to keep her hopes high.
