Atlanta Housewife's Former Fiancé Killed
Sad, sad news for one of the housewives on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The former fiancé of Kandi Burruss, the newest lady to join the ATL Housewives, was killed on Friday night.
According to police, Ashley "A.J." Jewell was in an "altercation" in the parking lot of Atlanta strip club The Body Tap Club where he suffered a "severe blow to the head".
Jewell later died at a local hospital, so now Atlanta police have begun the investigation to find the person behind Jewell's death.
Says a rep for the Atlanta PD: "We have developed a person of interest and we've made contact with him to question him about the incident."
Kandi is said to be absolutely devastated over her former fiancé's death, and the Housewives star took to her official Twitter on Saturday to share her thoughts on Jewell's death.
Writes Burruss:
I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for A.J.'s children … that's who i'm the most concerned for. I'm about to give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just wanted to say thanks two everyone for their prayers.

As of last week's episode they were still together-I guess they broke up recently. Either way, so sad-and his six children now have no father. Ugh.

This is the society of today. You have a fight with some, and they take a gun to make sure they have the final word. Kandi is my favorite on the show. She is stable and grounded, and independent. She started out in the group Xscape and went on to write alot of the blockbuster singles you heard out in the late 90's and today. Even though she broke off the engagement with AJ (he really wasn't right for her) I'm sure she still held alot of love for him in her heart. His kids are who I really feel sorry for. I think he was their main financial support. So much so that Kandi had to adopt his twin girls because their mother was either unfit or abandoned them and Kandi felt the girlls needed a positive mother-figure to raise them.
I dont condone strip clubs or the element of society they tend to attract,…. but you failed to mention that AJ (the fiancee) OWNED that particular strip club. Just sayin'

I think it is funny that the first thing most ,not all white people say is ghetto, or guilty when it is a black person that is doin something. but the moment they say a white person do somthing they say not guilty. and it is people like that, that makes the world stay Separated.
Strip clubs are bad news. I always hear about people getting into fights at strip clubs on the news. Just stay away from these clubs and people will live longer lives. I think it is sad how he died and I hope they catch the weird creep who did this.
