Letterman Roasted By Fellow Late Night Hosts

You didn't think Letterman's fellow late night comrades would keep quiet over the whole extortion-affair scandal, did you????
Jay Leno was the first to take a jab at his former competition, opening The Jay Leno Show on Friday night with a couple of jokes directed towards Dave!
"If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you've got the wrong studio," Jay ragged.
He continued: "What is going on? First Conan hit his head, and then somebody tries to extort money from Letterman. I'm so glad I'm out of late night."
Following Leno, Jimmy Fallon was the next to poke fun, during his monologue on Late Night.
Joked Fallon: "There's a new book out called "Why Women Have Sex" that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex. And folks, Letterman knows the top 10."
Ba-dum-dum, chhh.

SNL dropped the ball. Only two jokes about Letterman on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers. The Eeyore joke got more laughs. Sad.

I respect Letterman more. Consenting sexual relations between two adults is a basic tenent of our society. And if the women felt in any way pressured, they would have sued Dave a long time ago. Being that he just became married, he wasn't cheating either. I don't see any problems with his behavior whatsoever. It's actually refreshing to see ANYONE, much more a celebrity, take ownership of their flaws, not apologize, and just move on. A lesson to be learned for this world!
In response to DebsDebs, when you have $$$, you become a lot more attractive. When I did my internship years ago in Florida at a newspaper, I met his sister, who worked there. She looked JUST LIKE HIM.
Anyway, there is no doubt that all those chicks thought they were going to be Mrs. Dave Letterman.

I Say Leno and Fallen and they both held back with only 1 or 2 jokes. I respect them for that, they did their jobs as comedians by keeping the shows topical without hammering the situation too much. Curiously Conan did nothing on the subject and when guest Drew Carey brought it up he was quick to shut it down with a serious no comment. I wonder if Conan did not want to hurt one of his idols (of not Letterman is killing him in the ratings) or perhaps he lives in a glass house on this issue.
