A Backstreet Boy Gets The Swine Flu!

Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys has gotten smacked with a case of the Swine Flu, leaving their upcoming promotional gigs canceled!
The boys men have a new album, THIS IS US, out tomorrow and were set to perform their new single Straight Through My Heart on CBS' The Early Show as well as a hosting a signing at the Hard Rock Cafe's PINKTOBER event in New York.
The other members of the band, Nick Carter, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, aren't showing any symptoms of the illness, but they've been prescribed Tamiflu just in case.
Horrible timing, guys! You could probably use all the promotion you can get!

They aren't testing to determine if the flu is swine or regular. It is just as likely he has the regular flu.

It is incorrect and inaccurate to call this the swine flu as it is also made up of avian strains. It is the H1N1 virus and although not as catchy it is correct. Should we call folks who have HIV people with AIDS. One causes the other, they are not the same. Or should we go one step further and call them carriers of the Chimpanzee virus. This statement has some level of truth but is far from completely accurate.
Considering Brian has had open heart surgery it does make him compromised. Hopefully he'll be okay. Like you said perezpuss the bsb could of used the promotion since their last album only sold 186,000 copies in USA.

Aww Not Brian! I love the BSB and Brian! I'm so excited for their new album tomorrow and this is just terrible news! Brian is such a cutie and such a sweetie he does not deserve to get sick!
