John Travolta Hasn't Given Up On Scientology

Though many have speculated otherwise, sources close to John Travolta insist that the actor still holds true to his beliefs in Scientology, even after acknowledging his son's battle with autism.

When John testified in the recent Bahamina extortion case, he publicly announced that his late son, Jett Travolta, was autistic. This was the first public stance he had taken on the issue, as Scientology does not believe in the illness.

Breaking his silence on the issue has left some of the leaders in the Scientology community unhappy, but John remains "firmly committed" to the Church and we are told that he has admitted to using Scientology as "therapy" in trying to cope with his son's death.

We don't agree with the cause, but if it helps John to cope, we won't begrudge him that. Maybe the head honchos of Scientology should think about doing the same.

i'm not so sure it's that he hasn't "given up" on scientology as much as scientology hasn't stopped threatening him with revealing personal information about him and his family if he doesn't pretend to cleave unto them.
this cult is dangerous and uses extortion against celebrities to keep them in line.
i truly hope someday LE goes after scientology and this cult/extortion ring is destroyed.
scientology is dangerous and should not be allowed to continue unchecked.

Doesn't matter whether you 'agree with him" or not. Its John's beliefs and he is allowed to have them. The only reason why he HAD to mention his son's illness is because he was under oath in a court of law. Leave him alone and keep your opinions out of it. Their family has been through enough heartache for a long time. They dont need your stupid ass comments about their beliefs perez.

STOLEN from T M Z AGAIN. I hope you gave them some of your free tickets to your concert that you've been giving away since you steal all their material. It only seems right doesn't it?

    4. 4

I guarantee you the Scientologist wack jobs (to include Cruise) are sweating bullets over this! I hope the Travolta marriage weathers the storm. And may they desert Scientology!!!

    5. 5

3 non Gosslin posts in a row! Wow!

    6. 6

Let the man believe what he wants to believe we have no right to tell him otherwise. People need to respect each other's religion even if we don't agree with it then maybe we wouldn't have so many problems.

    7. 7

Oh right, as if you, Pumpkinhead are the moral compass of anything. You think it's fine to tell Will.I.Am - You're not a F***ING artist, you're a F***ing F***OT, and then castigate 50 for saying "the gay tour".

    8. 8

      I hope John finds God!

    9. 9

I wonder if his son ever got proper medical care because of JT's cult beliefs? Did his son suffer with autism because John couldn't admit he had the disorder? Scien. is nothing but a big bag of stinking horseshit.

    10. 10

Charging the Travolta's with criminal negligence (for KNOWING he had autism and refusing to treat it properly) is the only way to send a strong message to the Scientology cult.

Maybe then they would wake up and alter some of these crazy "beliefs".

Worshipping aliens is one thing, and hey, knock yourself out - you're hurting no one. But failing to provide a necessity for a child is criminal and should not be tolerated.
No different from some of the religious crazies who refuse medical treatment or blood transfusions causing death.

LOL I always say that about our TUBBY !! stealing stories from better sources !!

    12. 12

What kind of financial arrangement does he have with Scientology Inc?

    13. 13

His son didn't have a "battle with autism." His son had autism. Period. You don't battle it, it's in your neurons and amygdala.

    15. 15

AND WHO THE FUCKITY FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO SAY "WE WON'T BEGRUDGE HIM" LIKE HE GIVES TWO FUCKS WHAT THE HELL YOUR IRRELEVANT ASS THINKS ABOUT ANYTHING HE DOES. GOSH LOOSERS ALWAYS DO THINK THEY ARE WAYYY MORE IMPORTANT THAN THEY REALLY ARE! GET OVER YOURSELF BULLY!

    16. 16

AND IT WOULD ONLY BE 'CRIMINAL' IMO IF HE HAD A SEIZURE DISORDER (SOMETIMES GOES ALONG WITH AUTISM) THAT WAS NOT BEING TREATED PROPERLY WITH PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE CONSIDERED PSYCH MEDS. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, BUT ONE CAN'T DIE FROM AUTISM ALONE, THERE ARE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES TO THIS DEATH. OTHERWISE, THEY CAN TREAT THE AUTISM ANY WAY THEY SEE FIT AND SHOULDN'T BE PROSECUTED FOR DOING WHAT THEY BELIEVED IN, NO MATTER HOW STUPID WE MAY THINK IT IS.

    17. 17

No body really cares if their gay. Come on out! You will still have a career!
      .
All I can say is, too bad.

    18. 18

Shit P, all they want is his money.

    19. 19

      Scientology is a CULT!
They steal money from innocent people, even celebrities, and make them believe their lies.
Please stop them! Tell everyone you know they are liars!

    20. 20

Watch out P, they're after you! Or are you already enlisted? So many COS posts! Every other, or is that just Hollywood?

    21. 21

i love john travolta, from pulp fiction to michael.

      but seriously, Scientology?

It is a cult that lures rich people in in order to make a profit.

    22. 22

They're prisoners to that cult. I'll bet they're scared to leave, too!

    23. 23

Yeah, I'll BET John hasn't given up on Scientology! The man is probably crappers his trousers wondering how to disappear from the Scientology KGB - Valkyrie's Tom Cruise included! First his son's life, now his and family's - what a sad story.

    24. 24

How do you guys all know this much information about Scientology? from websites like this?
You guys are a bad as Perez with your judgmental b/s

    25. 25

      what a homo

Do your homework, Peps! It is a very scary thing to leave Scientology. Listen to testimonies of those who've had the gonads to leave it. L. Ron Hubbard's own son included! The man has lived in constant fear for his and family's life!

    27. 27

To each his own religious beliefs, but when a "religion" threatens your life - that's a whole different story! The freedom is gone and that's wrong!

    28. 28

R.I.P Jett Travolta and Lisa McPherson.

    30. 30

Maybe he'll still change his mind about scientology - there's still hope. Don't they teach reincarnation? Wishful thinking.

    31. 31

If this guy doesn't see the light now, he's truly blind. I feel horrible for him. His religion told him that his son's illness didn't exist & Travolta himself could heal anyone.

    32. 32

      So strange.
How can John continue to embrace a religion that refuses to even acknowledge Autism .. and many other disorders?
Just one more example of organized brainwashing ..

    33. 33

Scientology is the most ridiculous pile of garbage ever, and it sickens me that people really believe in it. I love John Travolta, and I hated to learn that he was a believer, and that when he wanted to give it up they threatened him. I feel for his family, I really do. But "not believing" in a disease like autism? Please. Have people forgotten that this "religion" was created by a SCIENCE FICTION WRITER?!?!? COME ON!!!

    34. 34

I really don't like to shit on religions, but Scientology is a pretty iffy, maybe the people who are calling it a cult have a point. But people do things like that all the time because of their religion, and we don't call it a cult.

    35. 35

Travolta seems to be a nice person why he's affiliated with this evil cult is really a mystery. It really is a sickening cult.

Re: lakerfan100 – Better a "homo" then a black unemployed lowlife criminal living in a gang-infested area of los angeles with 20 kids from 5 women ,married to none and paying no child support. Wouldnt you agree reggie?

Re: lakerfan100 – Better a "homo" then a black unemployed lowlife criminal living in a gang-infested area of los angeles with 20 kids from 5 women ,married to none and paying no child support from his welfare checks and food stamps. Wouldnt you agree at least "homos" bring up property values and don't cause violent crime.

    38. 38

Autism is NOT an illness that people suffer from. It is a world and a life experience that we all need to accept more. Perhaps Scientologists are better off because they accept their children for who they are and don't try to change them into something they are not and never will be. Perhaps Jett Travolta was the happiest kid in the planet and his family loved and appreciated him without a label? HMMMM?!Re: Zoesmom

    39. 39

So basically he possibly may have been saved if he had been under standard treatment for epileptic patients and not following their wonderful Scientology bullcrap. So sad an death that didn't have to occur because a parent was choosing a religion for a child that was detrimental to his health.

I find it funny that most of the posts I have come across online against Scientology seem bitter and most definitely misinformed.

Pick a religion and you can say the exact same negative things about them as Scientology, religions are man made and so they contain human flaws. I found out from my readings that Scientology has techniques that help you eliminate fears and anxieties beyond just praying and wishing for things to get better. Just as in Buddhism and other eastern beliefs.

On the other hand all these negative posters use Fear tactics to spread their point of view and they do not have any better solutions or techniques. Can any of you Anti-Scientologists lets us know who to remove a fear of Spiders or a Fear of Heights?

    42. 42

If this is not their belief than how can he say his son was autistic and still be a Scientology follower? Their belief's may have very well have been a factor in their son's dismay. I know that is a terrible thing to say but I feel they still have one child and they have to look out for her well being. I'm glad however that John has been able to find some piece with his beliefs but will they re-evaluate some areas of there Scientogy theories concerning the heath and well being of their daughter?

    43. 43

Here's my personal perspective. I've been a Scientologist for since 1977. My son was born at 1 1/2 lbs. He's a young adult today and he is definitely mentally retarded and has autistic tendencies. He is on a regular regimen of Tegretol and Depakote for seizure disorder. Big deal! What I mean by that is that NO ONE in the Church has EVER challenged our care and handling of my boy or denied his condition.

Do I maintain close affiliation with doctors on his care, including neurologists? You bet! Do I second-guess their calls sometimes? Often, as should any advocate for someone who is being given chemistry to ingest bodily. My son has been given bad meds on several occasions, where some sort of mood-altering medication had been "dog and ponied" to the doctor by the drug company as a med for seizures and somehow slipped into his regimen, only to result in terrible personality changes in my son, and where we have had to get second opinions, do research, and quickly intervene to change a doctor-ordered regimen. We've been right more often than not. Fact is that most docs appreciate informed parent participation in seizure disorder treatment. It is NOT an exact science with known cures.

Re: Dynamixx – RIP Lisa McPherson. I try to be accepting of people's beliefs and agree all religions are flawed… but there's something rotten in the state of Denmark.
